The **High Tatras** is a mountain range in the border area between Slovakia and Poland. This **one day hiking trip** takes place in **Rysy (2,503 m)** which is one of its peaks and the highest point in Poland.

During this hiking ascent we’ll reach the top roof of the High Tatras while enjoying the view of its incredible landscapes. Astonishing mountain lakes and beautiful rocky walls are some of the highlights of the journey. You will also have the chance to observe the local wildlife, such as chamois and marmots.

As for the itinerary, early in the morning we’ll drive for about 2,5 hours from **Palenica Bialczanska** to the **Morskie Oko Lake**, where the mountain hut is located. From there, we’ll start our hike to the top. This will take us around 4 or 5 hours. However, another option is available for your on this trip. If you wish, you can spend the night at the hut and do the climb in 2 days. The next morning  we’ll meet up to continue the ascent and complete the adventure.

If you want to take this trip, it is very important that you have **a very good physical condition**. The altitude change is about 1,600 meters and there are some technical steps on the way. Do not forget to bring your trekking boots, warm clothing, food and water.

One or two day hiking ascent to Rysy, High Tatras

Slovakia and Poland are divided by the **High Tatras,** the highest peaks of the Carpathian Mountains. Inside this mountain range and with 2,503 meters above sea level is located **Rysy**, the highest summit in Poland. Come and discover this magical area on this **2-day hiking ascent**.

On this ascent, all participants will contemplate the most amazing scenery surrounded by mountain lakes and lovely animals while hiking to the top of Rysy.

During the first day, we’ll go from **Palenica Bialczanska** to the **Morskie Oko Lake** in a 2-hour drive. There we’ll find the mountain hut where we’ll take a short break before starting the ascent to the summit. Then we’ll walk until we reach the **Chata pod Rysmi hut** in the Slovak side of the mountain. This will take us between 5 and 6 hours. On day 2 we’ll finally reach the summit after a 3 to 4 hour hike and finish the trip in **Štrbské Pleso**, a beautiful glacier lake.

It is a requirement for this ascent to have **a very good physical condition**. You will find some technical difficulties on the way, which implies an elevation gain of 1,600 meters. Please don’t forget to bring your backpack, trekking boots, warm clothing, food and water.

2-day hiking ascent to Rysy, High Tatras

**Join me in a photography and hiking tour in the stunning High Tatras! We can leave for one or more days to explore and photograph the most beautiful corners of this mountainous region.** 

This is a chance to practice your photography skills in an outstanding location. The sunrise and sunset at the Tatras are magical. We will observe and capture with our lenses the nature and wildlife (chamois, marmots, brown bear, if any, wild birds… based on the season and the weather) while hiking. I know very well where the animals are, I have my secret spots. I am myself a photographer.

It is possible to do this program all year round. Of course, the conditions will change throughout the year, and so will the landscapes. So choose your favourite season to photograph and let’s go! Hikers of all levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced.

I will determine the exact itinerary depending on the program we decide together, as well as on your wishes and fitness level. Besides, we might have to adjust to weather conditions, especially during the winter months. We could reach one of the summits of the Tatras. The total duration could be up to 14 hours, based on the program (especially if we go for the sunset and sunrise).

I particularly enjoy guiding my friends and clients here because:  
– The Tatras has a unique landscape that I really like  
– It is very wild, in fact wilder than the other ranges in Europe  
– Between the Alps and Caucasus, there is a flat area all around the Tatras. The mix of flat and mountain makes if very unique.

High Tatras guided photography + hiking day tour

On this **full day hiking adventure**, you will get the chance to explore the stunning **Pieniny mountains** of **Poland**. This magnificent range is the perfect place for people looking to enjoy a day in the wilderness.

This trip is open **all year round**. And because of that, despite being in the same place, you will get a completely different experience depending on when you go. For example, during the **autumn season**, the colours within the range are marvellous, especially when the white rocks of the ridges contrast against the bright red of the changing tree leaves. Meanwhile, during the **spring and summer seasons**, you will get to see **local shepherds** tending to their animals. And if you’re lucky, you might get the chance to taste some of their **freshly made cheese**. Finally, during the **winter months**, you will get to admire the snow covered **trees and peaks**, while breathing in the crisp, chilly air.

During the hike, you will get the chance to hike through beautiful **limestone gorges**, including the **Homole gorge**. You will also get to stand on top of the **Pieniny’s highest peak**, **Wysoka (1,050m)**. From this wonderful peak’s summit, you will get to admire the entire range’s amazing landscape, while also getting the chance to gaze at the **Tatra mountains**.

This **day trip** in the **Pieniny mountains** typically lasts between **5 to 6 hours**. While not too difficult, there are some challenging spots along the route, especially if it’s raining, as parts can be very slippery. As a result, participants in this trip should be in **good physical condition**.
