Description

Join me in a photography and hiking tour in the stunning High Tatras! We can leave for one or more days to explore and photograph the most beautiful corners of this mountainous region.

This is a chance to practice your photography skills in an outstanding location. The sunrise and sunset at the Tatras are magical. We will observe and capture with our lenses the nature and wildlife (chamois, marmots, brown bear, if any, wild birds… based on the season and the weather) while hiking. I know very well where the animals are, I have my secret spots. I am myself a photographer.

It is possible to do this program all year round. Of course, the conditions will change throughout the year, and so will the landscapes. So choose your favourite season to photograph and let’s go! Hikers of all levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced.

I will determine the exact itinerary depending on the program we decide together, as well as on your wishes and fitness level. Besides, we might have to adjust to weather conditions, especially during the winter months. We could reach one of the summits of the Tatras. The total duration could be up to 14 hours, based on the program (especially if we go for the sunset and sunrise).

I particularly enjoy guiding my friends and clients here because:
– The Tatras has a unique landscape that I really like
– It is very wild, in fact wilder than the other ranges in Europe
– Between the Alps and Caucasus, there is a flat area all around the Tatras. The mix of flat and mountain makes if very unique.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
