I\`m a passionate of adventure, nature sports and culture. As a kid, I used to go with my family to hiking, climbing and camping trips. My love for the mountains and nature comes from my dad!

I\`ve been in the mountains all my life and I found a way to work in what I love. I\`m an Eco-tourism graduate and after that I started my international mountain guide career in Ecuador.

I have been guiding since 2009 and almost every year I go to Peru or Bolivia. I lived for 2 years in Huaraz, Peru in the beautiful Cordillera Blanca area climbing and guiding.

My goal is to offer an experience in the mountains that will keep with you for a long time; during the climbing trips, I will explain the history, culture and biology of the environment we are in.

**Join me on this 8 day rock adventure in the highlands of Ecuador!** A program aimed at beginners and intermediate climbers.

Ecuador has become one of the best countries for a rock climbing experience. That is because the local Ministry of Tourism has developed many **new sport climbing spots** and also improved the existing ones. Most of them are in the highlands of Ecuador. There, you will learn a lot about the **indigenous culture**, which is rich and vibrant.

Please find more details of the program at the bottom of this page. Routes can vary depending on participants’ expertise.

The trip starts in Quito, where we will set the basic skills for sport rock climbing in Sigsipamba, a beautiful volcanic andesitic rock area 30 minutes from Quito. Overnight in Quito.

We climb in Santa Clara Alta, a natural and pristine spot in the Avenue of the Volcanoes.  To get to the rock face we have to walk for about 35 minutes through the forest, crossing the Pita River. Overnight in Quito.

Drive to Riobamba, 3 hours from Quito.  From Riobamba we head to La Chorrera, a basalt lava flow from the Chimborazo volcano. Spend the whole day climbing and in the afternoon we return to Riobamba for a good dinner and overnight.

We return to La Chorrera for our second day at this mazing climbing spot. This day we star our multi-pitch instruction, preparing for Cojitambo! Overnight in Riobamba.

Early in the morning we head to Azoguez. After a 4-hour drive we arrive to the capital city of the Cañar Province. From Azogues we take a paved road to Cerro Cojitambo (30 min), one of the best places for rock climbing in Ecuador. We climb all day. Night in Cojitambo or Azoguez.

We start the multi-pitch climb! After a morning warm up-climb we have a multi pitch clinic and the first climb of a 3-pitch – 5.8 YDS (4th) grade route.

Final day of the trip. We climb 2 of the most iconic routes in Cojitambo: La Langarota (8 pitches, 220m, 5,10c) and Pepita de oro (4 pitches, 100m, 5,11b). If we have more time we climb some other multi pitch route – there are many to choose from!!! After a long climbing day we go to Cuenca to have a celebration dinner and beer. We’ll spend our final night in Cuenca, a World Heritage City.

Late in the morning we leave Cuenca heading to Quito. Arrive in Quito around 7 pm. End of the program.

**Full-day adventure to the crater of an active volcano in Ecuador**
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity with a full-day adventure that will take you deep inside the steaming crater of an active volcano.

This unique experience ensures your safety while granting you the chance to explore the inner workings of an active volcano, all while enjoying the best views of Quito and its breathtaking surroundings.

With just a 1 hour and 15-minute drive from Quito's historic center, you'll be captivated by the stunning vistas of the city, neighboring volcanoes, including Cotopaxi, and the sprawling coastal lowlands of Ecuador.

Once at the rim, prepare for a descent of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes into the heart of the crater, where you'll walk among the steam and sulfur-smelling fumaroles.

After thoroughly exploring the area, we'll embark on a 2-3 hour uphill ascent at high altitudes (12,500 to 15,500 feet) to reach the rim. Once there, we'll head back to Quito, concluding an unforgettable adventure.

*   6:00 AM: We'll pick you up from your hotel in Quito.
    
*   7:30 AM: Arrive at the refuge and trailhead to prepare and gear up.
    
*   8:00 AM: Begin the hike.
    
*   10:00 AM: Reach the base of the crater and explore the area.
    
*   12:00 PM: Commence the return ascent to the refuge.
    
*   3:00 PM: Arrive back at the refuge, and we'll start the drive back to Quito.
    
*   5:00 PM: Return to your hotel.

Join certified guide Emilio and embark on a truly unique full-day adventure to venture deep inside the active Pichincha volcano's steaming crater. Prepare for an approximately 1.5-hour descent into the heart of the crater and an invigorating 3 uphill ascent.

The **Cotopaxi National Park** is one of the most incredible places on Earth! This natural park in **Ecuador** and all the **nearby ecological reserves**, offer mesmerizing sceneries you cannot miss.

Our journey begins in **Quito**, where a private vehicle will take us to **El Boliche Recreational Area**. Then, we’ll trek towards the the **Cotopaxi National Park**. Meanwhile the vehicle will transport our belongings to the **Tambopaxi Hotel**, where we’ll have an amazing dinner and a good night sleep.

Next day, we’ll take our equipment and start trekking to the **Sincholagua camping place (4,300 m)**. Due to the altitude we’ll reach, it will be a demanding day. Then, the day after we’ll head east, to the **Antisana Ecological Reserve**, beginning with an easy downhill path. Our day’s goal will be to reach the slopes of **Antisana**, the **4th highest peak in Ecuador**.

On day 4, we’ll hike to our next camp, crossing a **dazzling lake** that was formed during an **eruption in the 1700’s**. Then, the vegetation will change into a **dense forest**. So, it will be the best place to spot **condors, mountain tapirs, deer, bears** and other curious creatures that inhabit this area. The day after, a vehicle will take us to **Termas de Papallacta**, a wonderful hotspring where we’ll rest and spend the night.

Day 6 will be when we hike through the **Cayambe Coca Ecological Reserve**. And we’ll return to the **Termas** for another night there. Finally, on our last day we’ll explore some more the area, to later return to **Quito**, after lunch.
