Born in Sax, a town in the province of Alicante, started climbing with 8 years, thanks to my parents who were the ones who started me in this sport.

With 19 years I decided to start with courses guide, starting with the mountain sports technician, which I studied in 2005 at the High Mountain School of Benasque. I started spending summers working as a guide in Asturias (Picos de Europa) and winters on the ski resorts of Valle de Tena, Pyrenees. It was here where I learned to ski and began to discover the winter mountain, the other side of what was used.

After spending a few years living in the "North" and meet the Alpine side of the mountain, I decided to start with what I really like, mountaineering, so I started with the course of sports Technical High Mountain. This gave me the motivation to come to the Alps where I've been more than 6 years living and enjoying the endless possibilities for this place. I spend half of the year in Chamonix, and half in Briançon, in the Ecrins massif.

The eastern province of Alicante, lying on the Spanish Mediterranean coast, offers endless areas of long climbs in a pleasing climate.

The great limestone spires and walls of the Costa Blanca guard the eastern Spanish coast, where the Mediterranean waters crash against its cliffs.

We’ll climb in two of these fantastic spots: Puig Campana and Peñón de Ifach. Both of which have many routes of differing grades located around the beautiful Mediterranean Sea.

Puig Campana, which translates as Bell Hill, is a mythical mountain in Alicante that stretches to 1,410 meters. It offers dozens of fantastic limestone routes with a variety of difficulty. The most popular climb is the central spur, which is located on the south face.

Ascending to the peak of the Puig Campana takes approximately 5-6 hours, with the descent lasting around 45 minutes.

Legend states that the mountain summit was the site of the final battle between the French hero Roland, commander under Charlemagne, and the head of the Moorish army. As Roland swung his sword towards his enemy and missed, the force of the sword striking the rock cut a large chunk out of the mountain.

Peñón de Ifach is a natural park of limestone that emerges from the quiet sea. Home to a bunch of rare plants and more than 300 species of animals.

The dramatic limestone rock rises to 332 meters above the Mediterranean and offers fantastic views of the surrounding sea, countryside and even the nearby island of Ibiza on clear days.

As one of the great climbing scenes in the area, the limestone walls offer a number of routes of varying difficulty and length. Ascending the Peñón de Ifach takes approximately 4-5 hours, with the descent taking around 45 minutes.

A revision of equipment will be made and the approach will begin. The activity has a total of about 8 hours. Its 450 meters of climbing are divided into 9 lengths, most of them unloaded that are quite comfortable. We will descend a via ferrata before reaching the summit, making a crossing to the right to go down a quarry as we reach the car park.

Puig Campana

We will arrive at the foot of the track. When we reach the base, we will quickly realize the route we are going to climb. The route is semi-equipped and will take us about 4-5 hours (always depending on the number of people there and our level) as well as walking its 250 meters of vertical rock. The route ends practically a few meters from the summit. We will descend the normal route, a quite marked and slippery path, which should take us approximately 45 minutes.

The Costa Blanca of Alicante offers an endless supply of via ferratas that line the stunning coast of the Mediterranean Sea.

Varying in shapes and size, some of the via ferratas extend up to 1,000 meters high. And with such a variety we’ll be able to pick the ideal climb suited to your own level of ability and experience.

One of the best via ferratas in Alicante is La Ferrata de la Norte del Cid, which is located in the town of Petrer. The absence of rungs along much of the climb allows you to enjoy the rock more intimately. All the while being safely strapped to a harness for protection.

Another classic climbing option is La Ferrata del Ponoig, located five kilometers away from Polop de la Marina. Its tall vertical walls provide terrific scenery as you ascend the steel steps leading to the summit.

The stunning massif of Mont Blanc is home to an endless supply of stunning ridges for us to climb.

It is one of the most visited international destinations for such climbs, on both rock and snow. And their great accessibility by lifts make it incredibly convenient and fast to reach them.

Its endless edges allow us to choose whether we wan to climb ridges of rock, snow, mixed terrain, long or short, etc.

Along our 6-day adventure we’ll conquer the grand 4,001 meters of the Aiguille du Rochefort. It was first climbed in 1873 by the English mountaineer and geologist James Eccles, guided by Michel Payot and Alphonse.

Other feats we’ll cover is the spectacular Aiguille du Midi. Standing at 3,842 meters, its soaring summit needles pierce beyond the soft clouds and offer incredible views.

Delve onto glaciers and battle the sharp rock needles surrounded by spectacular scenery of the alpine mountains.

From the cable car in the village of Le Praz we’ll enjoy great views of the entire north side of the famous needles of Chamonix. We will start a short approach to the base of the Aiguille de l’Index. There we’ll begin to climb the south ridge to the summit (2,595m), which will take us between 2-3 hours. From the top we abseil to the chairlift. We will use this shorter activity to learn the technique on edges and prepare for longer and committed ridges.

We get the cable car to the Aiguille du Midi, and then climb to the top at 3,842 meters, just to the edge of the Cosmiques station. Then with an ice axe and crampons we descend the famous snow. We descend the large glacier which is surrounded by peaks of over 4,000 meters. We will reach the observatory of Cosmiques, where we start climbing.

The first part we climb up snow slopes to the first gendarme where we are fully exposed to the edge; air steps, abseiling, rock climbing, down climbing. We don’t get bored while crossing the ridge. The route was opened by George Finch and Finch Maxwell, on 2 August 1911. Today it has become one of the most traversed edges of Mont Blanc and the Alps.

Aiguille du Midi (3,842m)

Today we change scenery for a couple of days. We leave the view of the Aiguille du Midi in Chamonix and go to the Italian area of the Mont Blanc massif, to get the views of Courmayeur and much of the Valle d’Aosta. We will have two options, either cross the gondola of Panoràmic, linking the Aiguille du Midi to the Refuge Torino, or cross the Mont Blanc tunnel to Courmayeur and go up the cable car Skyway to Punta Helbronner, where the Torino Refuge is located. From there a comfortable 1-hour approach by the Galciar du Géant leave us on the Col d’Entrèves where we start on the sharp and aerial ridge to the summit of the Aiguille d’Entrèves (3,604m). From there we make some descents by climbing and abseiling to continue on the downward edge before heading to the same way back to the refuge of Torino.

We will go back to the Glacier du Geant and Dent du Géant, where we begin along the edge of Rochefort. With crampons and an ice axe in hand, we begin to explore this snowy ridge, which is a classic, through sections that are sure to be picturesque. In the last part to reach the summit we will be climbing III and III +, where after climbing a few meters reach the prized summit (4,001m). After enjoying the views from its summit (Mont Blanc, Dent du Géant, Jorasses, Aiguille du Midi) we return the same route, but this time downhill until you get back to the Torino shelter. That afternoon we return to Chamonix by cable or by the Panoramic Mont Blanc tunnel, depending on our route.

Aiguille du Rochefort (4,001m)

We descend to the valley where we can appreciate a quieter and more restful night. The edge of the Petite Aiguille Verte, also a classic without much difficulty and not very long. Steps of snow and rock with aerial sections will make us enjoy and feel the surrounding isolation. We will head to the town of Argentiere, to the Les Grands Montets cable car that will take us to 3,296 meters. From there, we go down a long staircase on the hill where we will use crampons. A snow shovel gives us access to the edge, which after climbing and avoiding air gendarmes deposited us at the summit with unforgettable views. The Aiguille Verte (4,122m), the Drus, the Argentiere glacier, the Mer de Glace and countless other summits provide us the perfect background.

To end the program we will cross another classic edge, but this time further down the Aiguille. A ridge of rock that ends the buttresses of the Aiguille de Peigne, on the north side of the Aiguilles du Chamonix. Once in the intermediate station of the Aiguille du Midi, we go down the first section by cable car and head towards the edge made from stone and block. We’ll start climbing, the first part easier where we have to go looking for the best way. The second part is more vertical and aerial, and is the most spectacular stretch with steps we have to climb and others where you better not look down! Once in the gap we have to make a couple of rappels down and continue down a vertical corridor. This path connects with the climb to get back to the cable car.

The magnificent Écrins Massif lies in the southern Alps in the French province of Hautes-Alps.

The massif is home to 9 wonderful national parks in France. And with a lack of skiing lifts, we’ll enjoy one of the wildest and most remote sections of the Alps.

During the action-packed 6 days, we can customise the areas that you would like to explore. There are dozens of wild valleys and glaciers enveloped by piercing needles. It all makes for a stunning alpine environment.

Each day presents rewarding challenges as we near the summit of Dome de Neige, at 4015m. Our average climbing time of 3 hours gradually increases during the week, until our final push on the sixth day takes us 8-10 hours.

At noon we begin with a steep approach to the refuge of Soreiller. We end the day practically at the base of the needle Dibona.

We ‘ll head towards the normal route of the needle (possibility on more technical routes). We have to go around the Dibona between stones and blocks before we arrive at the base. From there we have a few climbs to the summit. We will descend the same route, but by making two rappels and a de-escalation to the base. We return the same way to the shelter, before going down the path. We’ll take the car and drive to the town of La Grave, where we spend the night.

Normal route to Needle Dibona (3,131m)

Today we change scenery and go to La Grave, at the foot of the Pic de la Meije. We’ll take advantage of the few cable cars that are in Écrins to climb higher. There are several options, one of them, without much difficulty, is the north face of the Pic de la Grave. This is a snow slope that links to a ridge that rises to the top. We can choose several activities to do when we are in the area.

We will go to the east side of the massif.  We will go up by car to the car park at Pré Madame Carle where we will begin the approach to the refuge des Écrins (3,161m). During the ascent we pass near the glacier tongue of Glacier Blanc and the refuge of the same name. We continue going up until entering the glacier and end up at the shelter, located in one of the places to view the Écrins.

We get up early and take a short descent to the Glacier Blanc where we enter the glacier and hike over snow. At first, the plain area to the base of Roche Faurio allows us to contemplate the dimensions of this circus. Once here we will encounter a 500-meter steep terrain and we will climb the last section of rock.

To Roche Faurio (3,730m)

The last day presents our greatest challenge. We’ll have to cross the Blanc glacier to the base of the north face of Barre. We will ascend to the top of the Dôme de Neige des Écrins. From here we will have unforgettable views of Écrins, and even of the Vanoise, Mont Blanc, and Monte Rosa.

Tucked away in the fabulous Écrins National Park are spectacular ice climbs for lovers of the winter outdoors.

The park is located just south of the French Alps and is only 1 of 9 national parks in the whole country. Its highest peak is La Barre des Écrins at 4,102 meters.

Populated with high rugged peaks, glacier fields, alpine pastures, lakes and woodland, the national park is packed full of natural beauty.

It contains 23 valleys and approximately 500 icefalls, which vary in length and difficulty. So whatever your level, we can find the ideal ice climb for you.

As well as Écrins we’ll head towards the valley of Queyras, located in the French department of the Hautes-Alpes. The valley is one of the oldest mountain ranges in the entire Alps, yet one of the last to be opened to the public.

The adventure begins when we reach the village of Aiguilles, in the heart of Queyras. There is a cascade of artificial ice up to 40 meters high with many lines of varying difficulty. Those who have never climbed will do a course to learn the fundamentals. Those with climbing experience will prepare for the large waterfalls the following day.

Fournel Valley is one of the great valleys of the Massif des Alpes Écrins and more specifically for ice climbing. There are more than 100 waterfalls with varying difficulty.

The town and ski resort of La Grave, located in the foothills of La Meije is the final part of the Ecrins to the north. It is one of the international destinations for both ice climbing and skiing.
