**Monte Rosa, on the border between Italy and Switzerland, is the second highest peak in the Alps.** At the foot of this impressive ice-covered massif lies the **Alta Valsesia Natural Park, the highest protected area in Europe**. During the winter, there are lots of amazing frozen waterfalls to climb there!

To start this tour, we will meet in Alagna and go directly to the icefalls. On the approach, we will cross **beautiful snow-covered forests and silent valleys**. Once in the spot, we will give **free rush to the thrill of ice climbing**. At the end of the day, we will celebrate with a drink in a warm and charming hut. Furthermore, **you can join me for several days**!

Keep in mind that **this outing requires a good fitness level and some ice climbing experience** (ice axes and crampons usage). However, all ice climbers are welcome, regardless of the level. **We will choose the spot depending on your skills**.

Get ready to explore the **highest massif in the Apennines**! This wonderful mountaineering adventure in the **Gran Sasso Massif, Italy** is perfect for outdoor explorers and mountain lovers. Join me for 3 unforgettable days in this breathtaking location.

The Gran Sasso is a magical destination with unique views. The climb is fun and never extreme. We will climb among easy rocky passages and take time to enjoy the views of the **Dolomites and the Alps**. Once we reach the summit, we will enjoy the extraordinary view of the whole park and the surrounding peaks. Additionally, if we are lucky, we may even get views of the sea.

This incredible trip combines nature and history, gastronomy and culture. You’ll learn about the legends of ancient knights and visit impressive medieval villages and castles. All while ascending to the summit of **Gran Sasso Corno Grande**. Furthermore, we’ll even visit the brewery at **Rocca Calascio**. First, we’ll ride to Campo Imperatore and begin our ascent. The road and the summit offer incredible views. Then, we’ll return to Campo Imperatore and enjoy local food.

3-day mountaineering tour in Gran Sasso Massif

**Would you like to celebrate New Year on an unforgettable alpine adventure?** Then come to this snowshoeing trip in Monte Rosa, and welcome 2019 in a charming mountain hut!

**Monte Rosa, a huge ice-covered massif, is the second highest peak in the Alps**. Located between Italy and Switzerland, it is a premium destination for outdoor lovers. At the foot of the mountain, in Alagna Valsessia, we will find a **beautiful alpine hut with warm and friendly staff, and excellent cuisine.**

What I’m offering is a **stunning snowshoeing experience** around this unique alpine area, and an awesome extra: to **celebrate New Year’s Eve in the hut!** We will have dinner and spend the night surrounded by a breathtaking landscape.

We will start on Dec. 31 with a **short hike to reach the alpine hut**, and then a **thrilling trek to see the glaciers**. Don’t miss your chance to practice snowshoeing in **Alta Valsesia Natural Park,** a scenic alpine spot. Come and join me!

Lying at the foot of the impressive Monte Rosa, the second highest peak in the Alps, the Alta Valsesia Natural Park offers a **perfect terrain for winter adventures**. Stretching from the alpine village of Fobello (880m) to Punta Gnifetti, a 4554-meter peak on the border between Italy and Switzerland, it is **the highest protected area in Europe**.

On this snowshoeing outing, **we will walk through ancient woods, where we will find curious animals and admire the flight of the eagles**. **As we face the glaciated south face of Monte Rosa**, I’ll tell you some stories of the first mountaineers in Valsesia.

Please note that the routes we will take are easy or intermediate. You don’t need any special skills or a high fitness level. **An easy-hiking experience is enough to enjoy this stunning spot**. Furthermore, **you can join me for several days** and explore this fabulous area in depth!
