The Haute Savoie region in France, where Chamonix is located, is famous for its tall mountains. However, it is also an ideal place to practice cliff climbing and bouldering. Although it may sound difficult, rock climbing is actually a very friendly sport, even for kids, and I will prove it to you on our adventure.

Kids as young as 5 years old can join. We will adapt the itinerary to meet the needs of each group accordingly. Therefore, this is a great option for adventurous families looking to have a great time together in nature! I will provide all the instruction and equipment you need.

Half-day Cliff Climbing around Chamonix (all ages)

Would you like to spend 2 days out on the rocks exploring the amazing multi-pitch routes of Haute Savoie? Then you can’t miss this exciting France Rock Climbing experience.

This program is ideal for climbers with a 5c level who are autonomous in lead climbing. We can tailor the adventure to your objectives and either focus on autonomy in multi-pitch climbing or on climbing two amazing routes that I will lead. Some of the possible sites that we can visit include Barberine, Vallorcine, Contamines, Servoz, and Chamonix.

Because this is a 2-day adventure, we will have plenty of time to work on your climbing skills and put them to practice. Furthermore, you will get a true feel of what the France rock climbing scene is like and discover some beautiful spots in nature in the gorgeous Haute Savoie region.

Keep in mind that participants must be at least 13 years old to join. Additionally, this is a personalized program for 1 or 2 participants, which will ensure you get specialized attention. Of course, I will be making sure that you are safe at all times.

France Rock Climbing: Multi-Pitch Routes in Haute Savoie

Known as one of the sportiest via ferratas in Haute-Savoie, the **via de Thônes** is rated very difficult and offers several small, fairly steep passages on ladders. It is 255 m high and is suitable for people who are already experienced and do not have vertigo.

This via is located at the entrance of Thônes, an emblematic city of the Aravis massif and cradle of Reblochon. High above the town of Thônes in Haute Savoie, the **via ferrata de la Roche à l'Agathe** offers gorgeous rural views on the Tournette massif. This thrilling route that goes up the cliff of the Roche des Calvaires is perfect for fit adventurers that want a taste of the French Alps paired with a little adrenaline.

The program begins and ends at the via ferrata parking lot in the Thônes center, you will need to get there on your own. Once we meet, we will walk for 5-10 minutes to the starting point, 1 hour and 30 minutes in the via and 45 minutes for the return (steep descent). Keep in mind that you will need a good fitness level to join.

We advise to climb it in the morning because in the afternoon the cliff is exposed to strong sunlight.
