Whether you’re a beginner or an expert ice climber, experience an awesome alpine experience with me in the  Julian Alps.

**What to expect**

I’ll pick you up from your hotel in Kranjska Gora, Bled or Ljubljana. Then, we’ll drive for an hour through the Julian Alps to the alpine walls. You’ll be able to take in the spectacular scenery around you, and we’ll go through the basics of ice climbing. We’ll also talk a bit about your experience. Then, based on that I’ll choose the best spot for you.

When we arrive at our destination we’ll get geared up ready to climb. That’s where the real fun begins! From January through March the conditions are perfect for ice climbing. Our climbs are 100% alpine, so you get the ultimate winter experience. We normally do climbs that are between two to six pitches long. I can adjust for all levels and make it easier or harder according to how you’re feeling.

When we’re done climbing, I recommend stopping for some traditional food. That will complete your Slovenian alpine experience. I’ll then drop you back at your hotel.

**Customise your trip**

You can adapt this trip to make it either half a day, a full day or multiple days. If you choose multiple days, we’ll also be able to explore the Kamnik-Savinja Alps and the Karawanks.

Did you know that **Slovenia is a climber’s paradise**? Well, now you do!

Join me as we travel from mountain to coast on a 2-day exploration of Slovenia’s best climbing spots.

The awesome thing about my beautiful country is the diversity of the landscape. It’s also a relatively small country. That means we can be ice climbing on a frozen waterfall in the **Julian Alps**,  then drive a couple of hours and be rock climbing on the **Karst edge above the Mediterranean coastline.**

We could do all this in a day, but on this trip, we’re going to take our time. We want to enjoy the sights as we go, so we’ll take two days to cover this terrain.

I’ll pick you up from either **Ljubljana, Bled region or even the coast**, and together we’ll head to our destination. We’ll climb for around seven hours every day. During that time, I’ll share all my knowledge so that you can have the best experience possible.

We can also include some excellent local dining on this trip. This will allow you to try the typical food from the area and also provide some necessary fuel!

I’ll pick you up bright and early from your hotel  and we’ll head to the Julian Alps. There we’ll be able to climb on the ice for around seven hours in total.

First day 

On our second day, we’ll head away from the Alps to the Karst edge on the Mediterranean coast. After finding the best places to climb. We’ll spend another seven hours climbing before we finish up.

**Indoor climbing is a safe and easy way to step into this amazing sport.** If you want to learn the basic skills of rock climbing, or to improve them, then **join me on this half day course in Ljubljana, Slovenia!**

The mountains of Slovenia have some fabulous crags for outdoor rock climbing. However, Ljubljana, the capital and largest city of the country, also offers **climbing gyms where you can prepare yourself for a more challenging adventure after**!

On this half day lesson we can work on **body positions, balancing, bouldering and equipment use**, among other special abilities! Some of the gyms where we can practice are Plezalni Center Ljubljana and Balvanija. **Climbers of all ages are welcome!**
