There is an abundance of fantastic **rock climbing** spots that can be found throughout **Spain**, from the **Pyrenees** to several places near **Barcelona**. However, the rock climbing possibilities in the **Cantabrian mountains** in the north of the country are just as, if not possibly better than those previously mentioned areas. And when you also incorporate the famed **Picos de Europa**, you really can’t go wrong.

**Rock climbing** is a very physical activity. As a result, participants in this trip should be in **good physical condition**. Also, some previous experience is a plus as it would open you up to more options. And there are a number of great rock climbing options in the **Cantabrian mountains**. A few examples of where I can take you includes the **Pared sur del Pico Torres**, the **Torre Santa**, the **Cara sur del Picu,** the **Pared sur del Valverde,** and so many more.

As a result of the huge variety of great walls to scale, you will not have any problem finding the right one. And beyond the actual climbing, which will provide you with an unforgettable thrill, but the views you will get of the **Cantabrian mountain range** will leave you in awe.

**Do you enjoy skiing a lot but want to step up for bigger back country adventures? Then come join me on an Off piste skiing course in the Cantabrian mountains!**

The **Cantabrian Mountain** are a mountain range of Spain that stretches for more than 300 kms through the north of the country. There are many outdoor activities to practice among this beautiful mountains, but when snow comes in winter it’s skiing time!

And I’ve designed a 1-day program to help you start enjoying the powder snow at its most.

So, to take better advantage of our time together, we’ll use the lifts of the ski resorts available in the area: **Pajares, Fuentes de Invierno and San Isidro**.

We’ll start with a small briefing on safety matters and then we’ll practice how to improve your technique on steep slopes and powder.

This course usually takes you out on the runs for around 6 hours, during which you’ll be learning at every moment. And, off course, you’ll be enjoying the beautiful scenery of this fantastic mountains.

The **Cantabrian mountains** of **northern Spain** are a fantastic collection of peaks. The **Picos de Europas**, or simply, the **Picos**, are a group of massifs that rest within the **Cantabrian mountains**. This combination of ranges will be the focus of this trip, and it would be my pleasure to guide you through them.

Throughout this trip, you will have the chance to admire the beauty of the **Cantabrian mountains** and the **Picos**. I will also be able to tell you the amazing history behind these peaks as well. For example, the **Picos de Europa** got their name because they were the first thing incoming sailors from the **Americas** would see before reaching **European** land.

Along with the beauty, there are plenty of opportunities in these mountains to enjoy some great **trekking and climbing**. And when dealing with such gorgeous **ridges, massifs and peaks**, the higher you go, the better views you will subsequently receive!

Furthermore, there is a great deal of **wildlife** you may be lucky enough to see in this region as well. So don’t be surprised if you catch a glimpse of a **brown bear** or a **wolf,** or even a _Rebecco_, which is a **Cantabrian chamois**.

Yet another wonderful aspect of the **Picos** are the number of **deep caves** found throughout the range. Just a few examples include the **Torca del Cerro (-1,589m)** and the **Pozo del Madejuno (-1,252m)** along with several others.
