**The Haute route is a famous 180 km long ski touring and hiking route in the stunning Alps. In its classic form, it goes from Chamonix in France and Zermatt in Switzerland, but many variations are possible!**

We will begin our trip in Chamonix, France, about 50km southeast of Geneva. During this excursion we will traverse long stretches of glaciers and valleys that carve through endless giant mountains.

We will split the classic route into 2 trips, meaning that those who would struggle to complete it in one can still experience the magic of this route.

We will be skiing roughly between 4-6 hours per day, while staying in alpine huts that are strategically located along the path and that fully cater to your needs.

On the first day, we will meet at your chosen location and organise all the equipment. Then we will ski in the resort to settle in, get to know each other and discuss the route.

**On the second day we begin the ski tour and head towards our first hut. The terrains we will be passing through are some of the most stunning landscapes in the world and there will be endless epic views!**

On the third day, setting off from the hut, we will continue touring and begin our descent towards Zermatt, Arolla or Champex.

The beauty of this trip is our ability to chop and construct our own customised route. This trip requires that you have a high level of fitness (you should be comfortable running a half marathon in 2.5 hours). You also need to be a skilled off piste skier.

British Lake District: rock climbing for beginners

**Learn about ghyll scrambling and join for an exciting adventure in Britain’s most popular natural area.**

The **Lake District** (also known as Lakeland or The Lakes) extends along the mountains of **North West England** and it’s the largest national park in the country. It’s an attractive spot for outdoor lovers, with lakes, peaks and forests.

Besides, it’s a very rainy area that has many mountain streams known as ‘_ghylls_‘.

Basically, **Ghyll scrambling consists on travelling up or down a mountain stream in a gorge, using our hands to move forward** and finally jumping into crystal clear pools. You can picture it as a mix of rock climbing and canyoning.

Everyone can enjoy this activity, no matter your experience level, ability or age. Therefore, it’s a great option for families. And you can even choose not to get wet.

I usually organize half-day trips, so you should repare yourself for around 4 hours of adrenaline and fun!

Ghyll scrambling in the British Lake District

**Mountain scrambling is a fantastic way to explore the mountains of the British Lake District away from the main tracks. Join for a different and fun activity!**

The **British Lake District** is the largest national park in **England.** Lying in the mountains of the northwest of the country, it has been recently designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

It's also a great place to practice mountain scrambling, a sport that covers the ground between hiking and climbing.

As it happens with rock climbing routes, we can classify scrambles in grades from 1 to 3. A grade 3 usually involves the use of a rope at some steeper stages and the use of both hands to reach up for the next ledge.

We can go for a **single day or a 2-day trip.** In fact, it's a great plan for weekends!

According to your experience and abilities, we'll choose a mountain scramble suitable for you.

One of my favorite scrambling trips is on the **Old Man of Coniston.** Here we can link 3 scrambles in one day and finish on the summit. We'll enjoy some great views and then walk back down through a fairly easy path. Finally, we'll go to the bar for a celebratory drink.

The British Lake District offers many opportunities for a brilliant, fun and thrilling adventure away from the most popular trails. However, this trip can be also available in other locations, like Scotland and North Wales.

You can join this trip all year round. From April to December you'll enjoy nice temperatures, although you can also come in the winter season and find some snow!

The **Lake District** is a national park in the mountains of the **North West England.** This natural area offers many opportunities for outdoor lovers. In fact, you can find fantastic locations for all levels of rock climbing!

If you already have some previous experience, I can take you to challenging routes. Furthermore, I can design a programme where you can learn the necessary skills to go climbing on your own.

One of my favorite places in this area is **Shepherds Crag,** in the north lakes. I like it because the climbing is superb and the views from the top of the climb are incredible.
