I’m based in Bilbao, in the Basque country. This region has plenty of possibilities for mountain programs, which are not so popular, and I really like to guide people in the area.

And I also work a lot in the Pyrenees, which are just a 3-hour drive from Bilbao.

For me, to guide is to share an experience and a moment in the mountain.

The mountain is a place where to live and feel experiences that are hard to explain, but is also important to understand it: without a solid knowledge it is complicated to remain safe in a mountain environment. A guide won’t guarantee total safety, but is there to identify and manage risks.

The way I see it, a famous peak hides several unnamed peaks, which are probably more remote, less visited, but equally beautiful. So it’s important to know why is it that we go to the mountains.

Booked the rock climbing day with Oscar in April for me and my girlfriend and we had an amazing time.Experienced indoor boulder climbers but with 0 outdoor experience. Oscar proofed to be a very highly skilled and trained guide. In the hours we spend together he learned us all about rope climbing, safety and we had a lot of fun. Friendly, experienced, social guy. He helped up climb out first outdoor 6b and we did a good selection of 6 other routes. Highly recommendable.
