Mountain Guide
Cholula, Mexico
I am a Mexican Mountain Guide, part of the Mexican Association of Mountain And Climbing Guides AMGME (standed by Spanish). I love the Outdoors and I dedicate all my life to them. I've been guiding professionally in mountains for the last 6 years, since I began my formation in 2014, providing always certainty and safety to the climbers.
I work side to side with a group of certified guides, so If I am not available to guide you, one of the experienced guides in my team will be your guide. Also, I'm work with many local, professional and friendly people, and being surrounded by many different cultures is one of the wonderful things in my job, giving, all of this, a unique experience in each expedition.
My experience climbing big mountains goes from Canada to different countries in South America, working meanwhile with different guides, people and companies. I´m always looking to get unforgettable trips and adventures. Write for any expedition's question, I´ll be happy to solve it!

I’ve had a number of hikes and climbs and this experience was by far the worst. First of all getting in touch with Oscar and team was a mission, he only got in touch when I reached out to the Explore share team. A client shouldn’t be begging for information or logistics of the climb. A day before we were scheduled to meet, I still had no clue on the meeting place, until I got in touch - this really is just unacceptable from a reputable company. Oscar is supposed to be a seasoned guide we are told, but he just seemed non-chalant with the whole thing. I could go on with so many other things, but not sure they’ll even change if the client care is non-existent.

Our guide, Oscar, was phenomenal. His knowledge of these mountains comes from a lifetime of climbing in his home in Mexico, and it shows well in his ability to guide clients safely and enjoyably through them. He's also just a kind and warm human overall that you can't help but enjoy talking to and being around. His English is fluent, and he was able to help us plan our free days between climbs confidently as non-Spanish speakers. Oh, and he's a great cook too, so we ate very well during our mountain stays! Oscar made sure that climbs were kept at a guide ratio of 1:2 for both safety and to allow each participant the ability to climb the mountains at their own comfortable pace. The result was a very privately-guided feel to this "group trip". We had a blast climbing the volcanoes and exploring central Mexico. Having Oscar as both a guide and a contact for future adventures is a gift are truly grateful for. To Oscar: thank you again for a wonderful adventure, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

I did the Malinche and Pico trip in January and really enjoyed it! Two successful summits with a really knowledgable guide. Would definitely recommend.
