Nature is a way to connect with oneself, others and the 'rest'. Sharing these amazing experiences makes them so deep that they defy the very mountains, as we vibrate with a real and powerful energy. Through flora and fauna, through plain and summit: nature teaches and shows us the way.

I live at Jura Neuchâtel. I am married and a father of two small children. I have also been responsible for mountaineering camp and have received a "J + S" recognition (Youth and Sports). I will happily guide you across these mountains.

**Join me for this 2-day ascent to one of the most accessible and beautiful peaks in the Alps: the Bishorn. From its altitude of 4,153 m, you will have amazing views of the majestic Alps**.

Since the route up to the Bishorn is not complex or technical, this tour is great for first-time mountaineers. I like to say this is an **ideal first ascent** for anyone thinking about starting out in mountaineering.

On the first day, I will meet you at **Zinal**. Once there, I will guide you on a trek towards the **Tracuit hut (3,256 m)**, to spend the night. On the way there, we will ascent 1,500 m up a series of easy climbing steps.

Next, day 2 will be **summit day**. I will lead the group on the 900 m ascent to the **Bishorn summit (4,135 m)**. The perspective from this point is impressive, with views of peaks such as Weisshorn, Obergabelhorn and Zinalrothorn. Later, we will descent across the plain: 2,400 m downhill, taking strategic breaks.

2-day beginners’ Bishorn ascent in the Alps

Rising to 4,478 meters, the alpine peak of the Matterhorn is one of the world’s most dramatic and iconic summit.

Tackle the normal route of ascension via the Hornli Ridge in what is considered the dream mountain climb. With a long and physical ascent, where the high altitude plays a part, reaching the top is a rewarding challenge.

Yet conquering the classic peak is achievable for almost everyone. If you’re a mountaineering beginner and have a good level of fitness, then reaching the Matterhorn’s peak is definitely within your reach.

Follow a customised progressive preparation schedule designed specially for you. In order to gradually acclimatise, we’ll make test climbs to neighbouring peaks of 4,000 meters.

We will begin on the Klein Matterhorn peak in the Pennine Alps overlooking the town of Zermatt. An ascent to Pollux will take us to 4,092 meters. While another climb takes us to Breithorn, at 3,317 meters.

We’ll then traverse to the Horli hut at 3,260 meters before our ascent to the peak of the Matterhorn via the Hornli Ridge before a descent back to Zermatt.

**As an experienced skier, you probably feel the need of taking your skills a step further. But you might not feel confident to take that extra step. During this avalanche course in Finhaut, in the canton of Valais, I will give you the tools to learn more about the risks you can take when on the mountain.** 

I have designed this course to help experienced skiers better evaluate the dangers in the mountain on their own. The program includes the basics of **how to act in avalanche prone terrain**. The goal is to provide the training to develop confidence and discover how to make yourself the least vulnerable possible during ski touring expeditions.

This 2-day course combines **theory and practice** in the right balance, to make it easy to assimilate and to put into practice in real situations.

Our meeting point will be **Finhaut, Vallorcine**. On Day 1, I will conduct the **theoretical course**, which we will close with a nice evening fondue. Day 2 will be a **hiking day**. I will guide you on practice tasks to implement the theory.

One of the **Alps’** most emblematic mountains, the **Matterhorn (4478m)** has lured thousands of climbers for many years. Climbing this mountain often represents a dream for mountaineers all over the world.

Even today, this four-thousand metre mountain allows us to live a real adventure in a high-mountain environment. We will spend the night in a hut before climbing the hardest passages leading to the summit.

The **lack of oxygen in high altitude and the technical and physical obstacles** make this ascent a difficult one. It requires a particularly good preparation!

However, it is particularly rewarding. This is the **most photographed summit on earth. The views from the summit are also breathtaking**! I particularly like the beautiful mixed ridge by the Zmutt ridge. It is a wild and accessible route with a great North face atmosphere.

**If you are looking for two intense freeriding days in the region of Valais, Switzerland, join me for an amazing program in the Lake Champex area. This 2-day program is a perfect opportunity to practice your skiing or snowboarding skills on fresh, untouched snow.** 

The **Lake Champex** (or Champex-Lac) area is an amazing spot in Switzerland, both for winter and summer activities. It is also just a little over an hour outside **Chamonix**. In winter in particular, the place comes alive in a very special way, with ski runs open to all different skill levels.

Over this **2-day program**, I will guide you across different off-piste trails you would probably never visit alone. I will also provide personalized tips to improve your technique and help you progress. We will decide on the specific route and descents together.

As part of the program, we can also include walking or hiking in order to appreciate the landscape better.

Overnight we will stay at an apartment or hotel, depending on the specific route.

Join me in this amazing adventure and let's climb the **Jungfrau (4158 m),** and the **Mönch (4107 m)**, in the **Bernese Alps**!

The Jungfrau is **a fantastic climb of a glacier with an exposed end**. It is covered with snow all year. The climb takes place on the **Aletschgletscher**, **the largest glacier in Europe**. We will enjoy spectacular views from the summit! The regular route is rated ZS or PD+II-, Ice 35-40 degrees.

On the first day, we will meet in **Grindelwald. After a picturesque train ride up** to the Jungfraujoch with breathtaking views of the Alps, we will climb the **Mönch!** We will spend the night in the **Mönchsjoch refuge**.

The following day, we will climb the Jungfrau! From the hut, we will start hiking to the Aletschgletscher, also called the "Sporn". We will ascend through a a rocky ridge to the "breakfast place". From there, we will only find snow to the top of the mountain.

Although the only really exposed sector starts at the Rottalsattel, but we will find **iron belay poles every 50 metres**. They will provide safety up and down. Once in the summit, we will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view! Then, we will start our down climb to Grindelwald.

It will take us about 4-5 hours to climb up. Also, about 4 hours to down climb to Jungfraujoch.

Very early in the morning we leave the Hörnlihütte to climb the Matterhorn. In the dark we reach the first climbing passages. We continue towards Solvey-Bivouac. We will reach the summit of the Matterhorn, 4478m high. After a short rest, we quickly descend to catch the last trains at Schwarzsee station. Then we return to Herriggen.

**The Monch (4,107 m) is a famous peak in Switzerland’s Bernese Alps, and also the most climbed.** On this amazing 1-day trip you will have the chance to reach to its summit under expert guidance.

**Together with Jungfrau (4,158 m) and Eiger (3,970 m), Monch forms one of the most popular groups of mountains of Switzerland.** Located on the border of the Cantons of Bern and Valais, it is the easiest of the three big mountains to climb, so it is perfect for an introduction to mountaineering in the area.

Climbing Monch, which was first summited in 1967, is a special and unforgettable 5-hour mountaineering experience. **We will hike and climb on exposed and snowy ridges with wonderful views of Eiger and Jungfrau.**

This is your chance! Join me for a challenging rock climbing course in the Swiss Alps, and bring your friends along.**

In this course, you will learn how to **“trad” climb** – protect yourself using friends (or cams) and nuts, and build anchors in different situations!

The location for this program is the surroundings of the traditional **Cabane d' Orny**. This beautiful mountain hut (2,832 m) is located between two lakes, and faces the impressive **Orny glacier**.

During this day, we will pursue different climbs, located at only 45 minutes from the hut. I will teach all about **"trad" climbing** – or traditional climbing – which is exactly how rock climbing used to be not that long ago. This will include learning route-finding and technical knowledge of climbing anchors. All of this, on real, natural walls.

The **groups** for this program are of a minimum of 4 climbers. The climbing level required is 5b.

Although **Zermatt** is specially well-known for being a worldwide famous ski resort, this area in the Alps also offers **endless mountain climbing options.**

If you are not quite ready for big challenges in Zermatt, I can recommend tackling many other four-thousanders. One of them is the **Breithorn,** which is the "easiest" summit to climb around Zermatt.

The **Castor** and **Pollux** mountains are also gentle peaks. However, they involve some technical knowledge and a good fitness level.

All of them can be done in a couple of hours (no more than half a day). Please find here below **3 interesting climbing tours** I am offering in Zermatt during the months of June, July, August and September.

### Breithorn (4164 m)

Although its ascent must be done through an ice slope it's a non demanding climb. The round trip will take no more than 4 hours. I can guide a group of 5 people maximum. The prices are as follows:

*   1 person: 550 CHF;
    
*   2 persons: 280 CHF per person;
    
*   3-5 persons: 185 CHF per person.
    

### Pollux (4091 m)

It is a beautiful medium-difficulty high tour, where we'll have to apply some rock climbing techniques to reach the summit. That is why I can take with me only 2 guests. The ascent and descent of the Pollux will take us around 5-6 hours. The prices are the following ones:

*   1 person: 650 CHF;
    
*   2 persons: 340 CHF per person.
    

### Castor (4223 m)

Another intermediate tour during which we must ascend snow slopes. It has steeper sections as well as a beautiful ridge at the end of the path. The total time of this climb will be between 5 and 6 hours. I can lead a group up to 2 participants.

*   1 person: 680 CHF;
    
*   2 persons: 350 CHF per person.
