Would you like to discover the stunning Tronador Mountain in the Andes range? Then join me on this 5-day traverse of the Tronador glaciers starting from Bariloche.  Tronador is an extinct stratovolcano between Chile and Argentina in the Andes mountains. This stunning peak has an altitude of 3,491 m and is a popular mountaineering destination in the region.  It is home to eight glaciers, well worth exploring.On this 5-day adventure, we will have the chance to explore the beautiful landscapes of this peak and discover some of its glaciers. We will start out from Bariloche and trek for an average of 7 hours each day as we go from glacier to glacier. In the evening, we will either spend the night in campsites or in mountain huts. We will meet in Bariloche and check equipment.

We will drive to Pampa Linda (2,5 hs) and catch sight of Lago Mascardi and the Manso river valley before arriving at the Cerro Tronador base.  
We will complete the necessary paperwork and begin our trek.  After 6 hours, we will reach the Mallin  
Chileno where we will set up camp.

5/6 hour ascent to the Viejo de Tronador hut (2.200 mts) on the edge of the Manso Glacier.

We will go up the Manso Glacier and cross it until we reach Filo de  
La Vieja, the highest point of our trek (2.600 mts).  
Then we will descend by the Castaño Overo Glacier Until the Meiling hut  
(1.900 mts). In total we will spend approximately 7 hours trekking.

We will cross the Alerce Glacier (2 hs) and then spend 2,5 hs going down to Paso de las  
Nubes (1.400 mts) where we will set up camp or stay overnight at Refugio Rocca.

4 hour descent along the Rio Alerce valley, through the woods to Pampa Linda.

#### Thousands of years ago, a **vast ice layer** covered most of **Argentina** and **Chile**.  Nowadays, there is still an **extensive icy area** that covers the south of both countries: the **Northern** and **Southern Patagonia IceField**.

Outside of **Greenland** and the **Antarctic**, the **Northern and Southern Patagonia Icefields** are the **third biggest continental ice sheet**. To explore them is a **unique opportunity** you cannot miss. So pack up your bags and **join me on this 8 days private expedition** across the **Southern Patagonia Icefield!**

Come and discover this **pristine territory** veiled with an **endless sheet of ice** and **mesmerizing rock formations**. Also, explore its **dazzling glaciers**, which flow into **captivating fjords** and **magnificent lakes**. Their constant movement has shaped throughout the years the **steep valleys** and **iconic sceneries** of this paradise.

Our adventure begins at **El Chalten**, a small and **enchanting village** in the argentinian province of **Santa Cruz**, also known as the **National Trekking capital** of the country.
