I'm a local certified IFMGA mountain guide based in Narvik. I've always enjoyed being in the outdoors since my childhood when my parents introduced me to this world. I think it's important that I facilitate parents to be able to bring the same experience for their children too!

My career (!) in the mountains started at the age of 12, when I started climbing, in particular long alpine climbs on ice, snow and rock. I'd also been competing in ski racing and cross country skiing since I was little.

My passion for climbing took me to different corners of the world; to the Alps, Peru, USA and Patagonia. However, my heart was always set in Norway and it also reaffirmed how amazing the mountains in Norway were even in comparison to the great mountain ranges of the world.  
My goal is to share these local beauties in a safe manner with the mountain lovers of the world.

I like the diversity of activities in the mountains and I like them all throughout the season, let it be mountain biking, skiing, climbing or hiking. I guide ski touring, alpine climbing, rock climbing and mountain biking.

##### Glaciers are magnificent creations of nature that stand out not just for their beauty, but for their uniqueness. Let me take you to one of the most stunning glaciers in Europe: the **Steindalsbreen in Norway.**

On this **6 kilometers trek**, I will take you to the **Steindalsbreen glacier** so you can admire its magnificence. And you’ll get to explore it, unveiling all the charming secrets it guards.

**Glaciers are a nature’s treat**. Being able to see one is an exclusive privilege hard to compare. But being able to walk through one is simply **a one in a lifetime adventure you cannot miss**. 

As time passed, the ice flowed, and **different deep crevasses were formed** on the **Steindalsbreen glacier**. And you will get to venture through them! But don’t worry, **I will make sure you are safe the whole time**. Prior departure, we’ll go through some rules to ensure your safety and fun!

Also, the deeper we get into the glacier, you’ll start noticing stunning **canyons that are mesmerizing**. Additionally, you’ll encounter **ice sculptures naturally formed**, that seemed to have come out of an artist’s hand. It will be difficult to try to capture them on a picture. But I am sure you’ll get to take a piece of their beauty with every photo you snap.

Moreover the **waterfalls** and **blue pools** we will walk through are simply hypnotizing. The different shades of blue reflected on the ice, will compete with the fantastic blue skies you’ll see above you.

Let me guide you across  **Lyngen, Tamok and Kvaløy** on this 1 or multiple days ski touring trip in Norway.

This **ski touring adventure** combines the excitement of exploration with the thrill of skiing down multiple terrains. And, **the itinerary is often**. Thus, you can choose how much time do you want to spend in this winter paradise.

Also, we’ll decide on where to go based on your **skill level**. Hence, if you are an **expert skier**, I will take you to some spots where you can **test your skills**. But, if you are a **beginner**, I’ll take you to the places where you can **gain more experience and confidence**. We can even rent a boat for the day and explore places beyond your imagination!

However, **no matter your skill level, we’ll visit dazzling places that will take your breath away!**

One of them is the **Lyngen Alps**, a mountain range east of **Tromsø**. These mountains  of alpine character follow the shore of the **Lyngen fjord from north to south**. Additionally, we’ll encounter several **mesmerizing glaciers** along the way, that will **surely hipnotize you**. 

We can also visit the **Tamok Valley**, and inland arctic-like set of mountains. It is a remote and quiet valley, away from crowds you normally find in ski resorts. **Tamok** is famous for its couloirs and steep skiing. Moreover it has a microclimate, covering its terrain with tons of snow and the finest powder.

Finally we can explore the island of **Kvaløy**, an area of **737 square kilometers**. The coastal scenery it offers, makes it a unique place with unrivaled beauty.

If you are looking for a new climbing adventure, let me invite you to this **Soria-Moria ridge climbing traverse**! Join me on this **1-day adventure** **in Ersfjord** and discover the natural beauty of this beautiful location in northern Norway. Storsteinnestind

**Ersfjord is a fjord in the island of Kvaløya**, in the Tromso municipality. This spectacular fjord is surrounded on both sides by high mountains falling right into the water. 

This spectacular ridge traverse takes us along **the south side of Ersfjord**. During this day climb, we will pass two summits: South Småtind and Storsteinnestind. This peaks are located in the beautiful valley of Kattfjordeidet.

Please note this traverse **requires roped climbing** on some parts of the climb. You also need a good head for heights as **the ridge is quite airy and exposed** and at some passages. This adventure takes us **from 6 to 7 hours** and gives us a breathtaking view of the stunning Ersfjord.

**Ersfjord is a fjord in the island of Kvaløya**, in the Tromso municipality, in northern Norway. It is surrounded on both sides by high mountains falling right into the water. This **2-day ridge traverse of Ersfjord** is an amazing long climb that takes us **along the entire Ersfjord.**

**Our adventure begins in the little village of Rekvik**, on the west side of the island, with the Skamtind summit, and finishes at Blåmann (1044m), the highest peak on the island. During the whole traverse **we climb 2800 vertical meters, covering a distance of 16 kilometres**.

This spectacular climb follows narrow ridges, summits and pinnacles along the fjord, until we reach Blåmann. Please note s**ome parts of the ridge are very exposed and will require roped climbing.**

Along the traverse, we will also pass other mountains, like Storstolpan, Brattbergtinden, Store Hollenderen, Brattbergtinden, Styrmannstind, Melketind, Zappfetoppen and many more.

**Otertind is an iconic 1354 m peak of the Lyngen Alps. It’s certainly one of the most beautiful mountains in Norway and a fantastic climb even for those with little experience!** 

This Norwegian peak  —sometimes referred to as the ‘Northern Europe Matterhorn’— is located in _**S**_**torfjord** and lies on the picturesque **Signaldalen valley.**

You don’t need to have previous climbing experience to climb Otertind. The terrain is steep, but provides easy climbing and scrambling. The whole trip demands between **6 to 10 hours.** 

I’ll provide all the gear you need for this ascent. It’s important that you bring good shoes to walk on steep sections outside the tracks.

Climbing Otertind in the Lyngen Alps

**In the southern section of the Lyngen Alps, lies one of the most iconic peaks in Troms county: Piggtind (1505 m). Would you like to join me on a challenging 1-day ascent this summer?**

Boasting a distinctive pyramid shape, **Piggtind is a classic climb** which demands a very good physical shape.

After a one and a half hour approach from the parking, we’ll reach the base of the mountain. The first part of the ascent is scrambling. Then, the exposed ridge demands using ropes, while the final 100 meters is pure climbing.

**The whole trip takes roughly 12 hours.** From the top of Piggtind you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding peaks of the Lyngen Alps.

In case you don’t feel quite prepared for this ascent, **I can provide a half-day training**, where you’ll get to practice advanced techniques and decide whether you are up for the challenge or you’d like to set a different goal.

I grew up here in Norway and spent my childhood exploring the mountains around my home. Having traveled extensively to pursue my mountaineering dreams, there is a reason why I choose to live and work here in Norway. **The snow-covered peaks and dramatic fjords around Lyngen create a picturesque landscape that is hard to abandon. During this tour, I will show you all around this little slice of heaven in Scandinavia.** 

Depending on how long you plan to stay in Lyngen, **we can visit one or several of the top snowboarding destinations.** If you really want to see all this region has to offer, I recommend staying for a week. Not to worry if you are only planning a brief visit to Lyngen, however. We can always organize a day tour to fit your itinerary.

**One of the more popular ski and snowboarding destinations in Lyngen are the majestic Lyngen Alps**. These glaciated mountains line the western shore of the **Lyngen Fjord**, creating a stunning alpine landscape unlike any other. Whether you are a beginner or advanced snowboarder, the Lyngen Alps will not disappoint.

Further inland, we can reach the remote **Tamok Valley**. Far from the crowds of the local ski resorts, the Tamok Valley is an **off-the-beaten-path option.** Characterized by its **couloirs**, or narrow gullies with a steep gradient, the Tamok Valley is suitable for more advanced snowboarders. The challenging alpine terrain in this valley is also known for its refreshingly deep snow and fresh powder.

**If you are willing to board a ferry, Kvaløya Island is another destination we can explore during this tour.** The snow-covered peaks of this mountainous island create an incredibly beautiful contrast with the sea below. The scenery on Kvaløya Island is truly breathtaking, even by Norwegian standards.

**A wintertime snowboarding and sailing combination is something only Norway can offer.** On this week-long tour, we will cruise the fjords and ride through the untouched powder of the **Lyngen Alps**. This tour is much more than just an exciting multi-sport adventure, however. **Traveling by yacht will also enable us to summit peaks and descend through the snow in otherwise inaccessible landscapes.**

**In the Lyngen Alps, there are hundreds of 1800m peaks and glaciers just waiting to be explored.** With the help of our yacht and knowledgeable local skippers, we will be able to reach many of them. Each day will bring a brand new adventure. **We will summit isolated, snow-covered peaks and enjoy incredible mountaintop views. On our way back down, we will discover some of the greatest off-piste snowboarding in all of Norway.**

**Throughout the week, our yacht will be our portable base camp.** After a long day of touring, we will return to the yacht to relax and rest in preparation for the following day. While we sleep, the crew will sail us smoothly across the water to our next destination.

In addition to outstanding sailing and snowboarding, **you can expect the food to be a true highlight of this tour**. **All meals will be prepared fresh with the highest quality local ingredients.** You will eat well and discover the tasty local cuisine with every bite.

The yacht we take to sea will depend on the size of your group. **All of our yachts provide cozy sleeping quarters and a comfortable seating area for your entire group.** Plus, there is always enough space to securely store your equipment at the end of the day.
