Enjoy a fun adventure in the Deerfield river paddling in your own Inflated Kayak through some easy whitewaters!
This half day program will take you to the lower section of the Deerfield River, a beautiful river that hides in the hills of northwest Massachusetts. Its lower section runs downstream from Shelburne Falls and has some mellow Class I and II rapids.
You’ll be able to choose between a single kayak or a double one, which is perfect to take a small kid with you. The minimum age for a single boat is 10 and for a double one is 5.
We’ll first give you a short pre-trip safety and paddling course. So you’ll know how to approach the river and its small rapids. You’ll be floating in one of our Funyaks, self-bailing inflated kayaks which are very stable and extremely comfortable. So you’ll be able to stretch your legs or relax in a soft surface.
This 8 mile afternoon program lets you go at your own pace, paddling if you want to or just enjoying the sun while the current takes you downstream. You’ll be able to jump into the water to swim or approach other funyaks to play along.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
