1-day Alpine climb on Mount Mansfield, near Stowe, VT

Towering over the whole of Vermont and sitting on the outskirts of the quiet resort town of Stowe, Mount Mansfield is an excellent alpine climbing destination!

At 1.340 meters, Mount Mansfield is the tallest mountain in the state and its proximity to Stowe makes it the perfect winter climbing destination.

Join one of our certified guides for a fun and exciting day of alpine climbing as we hike and scramble our way up to the jutting summit known as the Chin!

We’ll begin the ascent with a steep hike up Hells Brook Trail before reaching the ridge line and heading south. We’ll then employ our alpine climbing skills and scramble our way up to the summit.

Coming in the winter allows us to get a unique look down over Vermont’s winter countryside.  It also allows us to enjoy some solitude.

While the mountain is usually packed with hikers in the summer, far fewer make it to the summit in the winter. It will likely just be us and the occasional skier as well.
