Join Ryan, an AMGA-certified guide, on a great rock climbing course in San Diego, taking on Mt. Woodson and enjoying a variety of different routes of every level.
Leave the city behind for a day of incredible rock climbing just outside of San Diego! I have courses for every level at Mt. Woodson that will get you pumped to spend some time out in the natural beauty of California!
Roughly 30 miles outside the city of San Diego, Mt. Woodson is home to some of the region´s best climbing routes. It is one of my favorite spots because of the rock slabs that are loaded with cracks, which make it a popular destination for every type of climber.
With over 400 different paths up the mountain, we are likely able to find one that fits you perfectly. And once you reach the summit, a 1,200-meter climb up a paved road, the epic climbs with outstanding views will show you why this is such a remarkable location.
The east side of the mountain is where most of the paths are. We can take you on early morning climbs to beat the summer heat and take in the stunning California landscape below.
We have great routes for everyone, from those just starting to take on the mountains to the seasoned veterans looking for the next thrill. Woodson never disappoints, and we will make sure you find just what you are looking for.
My climbing experience and knowledge of the area combine to make an exceptional guiding experience. I will design the perfect trip for you to really enjoy getting out on the rocks. Take a step towards building your resume with a fun and exhilarating course!
While we have courses for every level and skill, any climbing experience is always an asset. You should be in pretty good shape to take this program, and some of the climbs require advanced skills.
Book this California adventure NOW and accept the climbing challenge of the beautiful Mt. Woodson!
I can also take you on a single-pitch course at Mission Gorge! Or we can check out my Joshua Tree climbing trip!

We had an excellent time with Chad on our multi -pitch day in Joshua Tree. My partner and I have some experience climbing sport routes, but had no experience with trad climbing or multi-pitch routes. Chad is a great instructor and led our routes with ease. We felt confident in his abilities to keep us safe and have fun. Will definitely book again with him.
Super easy to work with. Great communication. Great guide. Will definitely use again.
We booked through Ryan, and Daniel was our guide - absolutely brilliant, very down to earth and knowledgeable. The climbs themselves were awesome, with insane views. My partner is an experienced indoor climber, and I have close to no experience, especially outdoors, but still felt safe and in good hands. We did a half day, which was 5hrs, and got 4 climbs in, then stayed after the tour to walk around a bit more and have some snacks with a view (make sure you take food/water as there aren’t any shops inside the park). Definitely recommend.
Our guide, Spencer, was fantastic! He tailored everything to our exact needs, and we now feel equipped to climb outdoors without a guide.
