Would you like to get to the roof of the Apennines? If you love mountaineering, an ascent to the Gran Sasso d’Italia is a must! Don’t miss this incredible opportunity.
The Gran Sasso d’Italia Massif is located in the Abruzzo Mountains of the Apennines. Its highest peak, Corno Grande, lies at an altitude of 2,912 meters above sea level. This is also the tallest summit in the Italian Peninsula.
I invite you to reach this peak on a 1-day program. Our starting point will be Prati di Tivo, a little village near the massif. We’ll begin our trekking and explore the Vallone delle Cornacchie, a glacier valley between Corno Grande and Corno Piccolo. Then, before getting to the summit, we’ll reach Rifugio Carlo Franchetti, at 2,433 meters above sea level. During the whole program, we’ll be able to contemplate breathtaking alpine landscapes.
Please, take into account that this program is for participants with background mountaineering experience and a good level of fitness. Of course, I will be there to assist you all the way.
So do you think this program is for you? Then get in touch with me by sending your request and we’ll start preparing for this fantastic adventure in the Apennines.
