Description
Do you want to practice sport and traditional climbing in Chile? During this rock climbing program in Cajón del Maipo you will! Join in to visit a beautiful spot just a few kilometers away from Santiago —the country’s capital city— and enjoy one of the Andes highlights.
Cajón del Maipo, situated in the southeast of the Metropolitan Region in Chile, is an Andean canyon on the high basin of the Maipo River.
During this adventurous day, you will practice sport and traditional climbing in Placa Roja, a classic in the area, very close to the mountain hut Lo Valdés.
You may also climb an iconic multi-pitch sport climbing route in Placa Verde, as well as climb in Cerro San Gabriel.
From the heights, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the rivers, estuaries and rich landscapes that surround the area.
You don’t have to be a professional climber to join in! Just enthusiasm and a good physical condition are required. During one whole day, you’ll learn practicing in a real scenery.
You can join a group on fixed dates between April and June.
