Description

Improve your off piste and ski touring skills with this 1 day deep snow course!

Explore the picturesque landscapes in the heart of the Swiss Alps during this daylong course designed for those skiers who are already comfortable on alpine slopes. During our day together, we will learn techniques for skiing in deep snow conditions.

We begin on-piste in order to warm up and practice different tips and tricks, depending on your strength and experience level. Then, we venture off piste in order practice our form as on ungroomed snow conditions. This is the perfect opportunity to learn and practice different skills required for ski touring and freeriding, particularly in deeper backcountry snow conditions.

Use of demo-skis are included in the price (must arrange for pick up at Ruedi Bergsport), and we can help with other rental equipment as well, including avalanche safety gear, so you have everything you need to enjoy this fun day on the slopes. We will stop for lunch in a restaurant (not included).

I had am amazing time during the 1-day off-piste training course at Hoch-Ybrig. Urs, our main mountain guide, was very helpful in answering my queries before the course, and Lupe from explore-share was helpful in selecting the course. We had 3 groups under Urs, Mario and Patrick, and I was in the group with Patrick. He gave us a lot of nice tips and individualized video analysis. He made a special effort to convey everything in English, since I don't know German. All the participants were very helpful and friendly too! The course is good value for money as skis are included for the weekend in the course price.
