Highlights

I want to invite you to an amazing 1-day hike to Uruscocha Lake (4350 m), in the stunning Cordillera Blanca in Peru.

We will spend a great day walking in a quiet and peaceful place in the Peruvian Andes. Besides, it is one of the easiest and less steep hikes of the Cordillera Blanca Range. Also, this hike is a little bit off the beaten track.

The Uruscocha Lake is located in the Urus gorge, to the north-east of Huaraz. This hike offers a spectacular view of the south side of Huascaran, Hualcan Copa and Urus mountains.

We will start our hike in the city of Huaraz (3100 m), then we will go through the small village of Pashpa (3600 m), until we get to the beautiful turquoise Uruscocha Lake.

This 1-day trek is perfect if you are looking for acclimatization to before climbing to a higher elevation. Also, if you just want to visit one of the most beautiful lakes of the Cordillera Blanca.

So contact me with any questions you may have about this hike to Uruscocha Lake! And let’s start planning your trip! Also, if you are looking for a more challenging adventure, you can check my Nevado Urus 3-day climbing expedition!
