If you are looking for a perfect day trip on the Julian Alps, this Mount Pisank ascent on the Kopiscarjeva Via Ferrata will more than do the trick! Join me on this majestic stretched out mountain this season, one of Slovenia’s best adventure spots.
To begin this program, I will first meet you at the Agency Julijana in the village of Kranjska Gora. After that, we will transfer to the famous Vrsic Pass (1,611 m). Later, I will guide you on a 4-hour climb to Mt Prisank (or Prisojnik) Front Window.
We will then descend back to the Vrisca pass. This segment will require 3 hours. Finally, we will return to Kranjska Gora.
Groups on this program are between 1 and 4 guests. Climbers need to have a fitness level that will allow them to ascend and descend 1,100 m in a day.
The transfers from Kranjska Gora to Vrsic pass and back are included in the price.
If the guests don’t have equipment of their own, I have equipment available for rental.

IFMGA Mountain Guide
I was born in Jesenice on 25.03.1967. I’m based in Gozd Martuljek in the Julian Alps, Slovenia. I qualified as an IFMGA Mountain Guide in 2003 and I was President of the Slovenian Mountain Guide Association from 2009-2013. I’ve loved the mountains for as long as I can remember. It started in primary school when I was in the local mountaineering club. In high school I started climbing. Later I joined the mountain rescue team in Kranjska Gora and I have been a member of the rescue team since 1994. I’ve been guiding for the past 11 years in the Alps and all around the world. Each year I usually guide for about 150 days.
Alongside my work, my family (wife, 2 children), travel and mountain photography are my passions.
- Guiding skills: rock climbing, climbing routes, touring ski, ice climbing, winter climbing.
Since 2005 I’m sponsored by Montura and last 6 years I’m skiing on Elan skies.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
