This Via Ferrata day tour in Triglav National Park is a great adventure that will allow you to discover the Slovenian mountains.

Triglav National Park is the one and only national park in Slovenia. It’s located in the northwest of the country and it’s part of the Julian Alps. Inside the park lies Mount Triglav (2864 m), the highest mountain in the country.

In this opportunity, I offer you to do the Hanza route in Mala Mojstrovka. This route takes between 4-6 hours to complete and it is a perfect introduction to Slovenian via ferratas.

This is a great way to enjoy a real mountain experience while feeling safe because of the well-equipped paths. Steel cables and ladders will help you complete this adventure and I’ll make sure you have the time of your life!

    About the Guide

I am a UIAGM mountain guide, ski instructor and sports teacher and the current president of the Slovenian Mountain Guide Association.

I am still the only guide who can make a living working exclusively in Slovenia. I climb Triglav more than 25 times per year, which means I have climbed the most famous peak in my country over 200 times.

If you want to climb or ski in Slovenian mountains I am the right choice. I guide via ferrata, rock climbing, snow climbing, ice climbing, hikes, heliski, freeride skiing and ski touring.

Slovenia has good options for all of these activities, so you are welcome to take a look at my trips and find something for yourself. If you don't find anything let me know and I will see if I can help you!

I speak English. Ich sprache auch ein bischen Deutsch. Parla anche un pocho Italiano e abla tambien un po Espanol.

If I am not available to guide you, one of the super experienced guides in my team - Rok, Peter, Grega or Igor - will be your guide.

Mitja and the tour were great, we felt always safe, unfortunately the summit was in clouds but the views on the accent north face were incredible

We had a great day climbing Mt Mangart by via Italiana. The bottom via Ferrata was amazingly good fun. Mitja was an awesome guide. He went out of his way to arrange some rental boots for my daughter and her friend. Then he got us safely to the top of Mangart despite some icy conditions in parts. We will definitely be back for more!

Mitja was a great guide. Despite the poor weather he worked out a great alternative down in the valley. Very knowledgeable and would recommend to anyone. Thank you!

I had an amazing experience with Mitja. From the start, he was very communicative and kept me updated constantly on the weather conditions at Triglav. However, things weren\'t ideal so I wasn\'t able to get to Triglav. Despite the change in plans, Mitja went out of his way and arranged new activities he felt would suit my interests. We ended up doing a via ferrata he personally set and climbing ice falls. It was so much fun - Mitja was great to chat with and he was very knowledgable about Slovenia\'s geography. I enjoyed every second of our trip and would definitely contact him again for another challenge when I go back to Slovenia!
