This Via Ferrata day tour in Triglav National Park is a great adventure that will allow you to discover the Slovenian mountains.
Triglav National Park is the one and only national park in Slovenia. It’s located in the northwest of the country and it’s part of the Julian Alps. Inside the park lies Mount Triglav (2864 m), the highest mountain in the country.
In this opportunity, I offer you to do the Bamberg route. This demanding route takes around 10 hours to complete. During the first 2 hours, we’ll approach the Via Ferrata and, from there on, we’ll do a 4-hour climb and a 4-hour descent. The total altitude gain will be of 1800m, so you can imagine it will be a steep way up!
But your efforts will be rewarded. This is a great way to enjoy a real mountain experience while feeling safe because of the well-equipped paths. Steel cables and ladders will help you complete this adventure and I’ll make sure you have the time of your life!

What happens if I need to cancel the trip?
If you decide to cancel, you’ll get a 100% refund (minus fees) if the cancellation is notified up to 60 days before the start of the tour, a 75% refund (minus fees) if you cancel between 59 and 30 days before the start of the tour, and a 50% refund if you cancel between 29 and 21 days before the start of the tour. If you cancel less than 21 days before the first day of the tour, you won’t receive a refund. Take into account, however, that if accommodation, flights or transfers were included in the trip you booked, then a different policy may apply as the guide will be bound by the provider’s cancellation policy.
What happens if the guide cancels the trip because of bad weather/unsuitable conditions?
If bad weather or unsuitable conditions force the guide to cancel the trip, he or she will: a) propose a similar activity at a different place where conditions are better, or b) propose to postpone the activity until a later date, or c) cancel. If you refuse option a), our cancellation policy will apply. Please note, however, that the call to cancel a trip due to bad weather can only be made by the guide (not the client).
What happens if the guide doesn’t show up or cancels for personal reasons?
If the guide cancels for reason of injury or other, you will get a 100% refund on your trip.
If you are looking for an accommodation in the surroundings, I suggest you to go to Hotel Kotnik
About the Guide
I was born on 4.8.1979 in Jesenice. I am a UIAGM mountain guide, ski instructor and sports teacher and the current president of the Slovenian Mountain Guide Association.
I am still the only guide who can make a living working exclusively in Slovenia. I climb Triglav more than 25 times per year, which means I have climbed the most famous peak in my country over 200 times.
If you want to climb or ski in Slovenian mountains I am the right choice. I guide via ferrata, rock climbing, snow climbing, ice climbing, hikes, heliski, freeride skiing and ski touring.
Slovenia has good options for all of these activities, so you are welcome to take a look at my trips and find something for yourself. If you don't find anything let me know and I will see if I can help you!
I speak English. Ich sprache auch ein bischen Deutsch. Parla anche un pocho Italiano e abla tambien un po Espanol.
