Description

If you love rock climbing, you can’t miss the opportunity to visit Slovakia’s incredible climbing spots. Come with me on this program in the High Tatras!

Located on the border between Slovakia and Poland, the High Tatras belong to the Tatra Mountain range. This wonderful area offers many rock climbing opportunities with fantastic ground conditions.

There are many options available for you on this program. One of the possible destinations we can visit is Lomnica Peak, one of the tallest and most popular mountains in the range. Another option could be Ošarpance, a range with excellent rock climbing terrain. Also, I can take you to the Small Cold Valley, a beautiful natural area where we’ll find the Ice Peak, among others.

These routes present different levels of difficulty. However, all of them require a minimum of prior rock climbing experience as well as a good fitness level. As for the duration of the program, you decide how many days you want to spend climbing in the High Tatras.

So, are you ready for this unique adventure in the Tatra Mountains? Then send the request to book your place and we’ll start making all the arrangements for this rock climbing experience in Slovakia. Come and discover this climber’s paradise!

I also lead an ice climbing program in the High Tatras. Check it out!

Mountain Guide

I am an IFMGA certified guide. I was born in 1980, in the flattest area of a flat country: Poland. There were not any mountains around home. But I was very lucky! My physics teacher, a great alpinist and person, inspired me to climb and discover the mountains. Since then, I have climbed amazing peaks, in spectacular places like Patagonia, Canada, Pakistan, Greenland and US.

In 2002, 15 years ago, I made a decision that changed my life. I decided to quit my job as a sewage engineer and fly to Alaska. In four weeks I made four ascents. Then, I moved to Yosemite, in the US. That's when my life started to revolve entirely around climbing. I spent winter climbing in Patagonia, the US or Canada, spring in Yosemite, and summer in Greenland or Pakistan. My life followed the sun and the snow.

Then, I decided to become a profesional, and got my IFMGA certification. Today I divide my time between Poland an Chamonix, France. I enjoy guiding and practicing almost every type of climbing. And I love spending time with my beautiful family, more than anything. I have a baby son, a beautiful daughter and the best partner ever: my wife.

Please contact me if you want to enjoy a great and safe tour in the mountains. We can talk and plan together the best trip for you!

Unfortunately the weather did not allow any peak ascent - winter arrived earlier than expected in Vysoke Tatra (snow above 1400m)... Maciek, however, found perfect rocks for me besides Popradske Pleso (Lake Poprad). Well, the name promises water, and indeed, we started our trip with some drizzeling and wet slabs which made the pitches more demanding than expected (for me :-). But during the final pitches the sun came out and made the climbing on the granite slabs a pure pleasure. Thanks, Maciek, for giving me an appetizer for a longer stay in the region!
