Description

With 4,121 meters above sea level, Star Peak is one of the highest summits in the Elk Mountains, a range belonging to the Rockies. It is located near Aspen, in Central Colorado.

On this 1-day traverse, you will enjoy the slopes of Star Peak’s north face.

This program includes visiting Ashcroft, the Opa hut and the Friends hut. If you take part on this traverse, you will have the chance to improve your skills and learn about mountain travel and the use of the equipment. Also, you will get to admire the amazing landscape of Colorado during the trip.

As for accommodation, we’ll spend the nights in mountain huts and in the evenings you will get to see incredible skies full of stars.

This traverse is suitable for both splitboarders and snowboarders. To participate you must have background experience in the activity as well as be in very good physical condition.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
