Looking for a challenging via ferrata program in the beautiful Alps? Then follow me on this 1-day adventure in Monte Coglians, an astonishing peak in the Carnic Alps.
Monte Coglians is set in the border area between Italy and Austria. At 2,780 meters above sea level, it is the highest point of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region and the Carnic Alps. There are two possible routes to reach the summit of the mountain. On this program, we’ll take the via ferrata on the northern side. You will face an exciting climb with incredible surrounding landscapes!
Because the via ferrata is challenging with many obstacles on the way, this program is for expert climbers. Also, you will experience an elevation gain of around 1,400 meters. Therefore, if you want to take part, you will need an excellent fitness level as well as prior mountaineering experience. Of course, I will be there to help and guide you.
So, do you find this via ferrata tempting? Then get in touch with me now and book your place. You won’t regret your choice!
Another option you might enjoy could be this via ferrata to Tofana di Rozes that I also lead. Check it out!

Born in a small mountain village, in the Valis del Natisone area, I grew up surrounded by mountains, which I learned from my childhood. Great spaces, sense of freedom and love for nature were the first great feelings I learned to make mine.
From the top of the mountains that shelter my country I saw others, much more impressive, and from here came the desire to discover new horizons, new landscapes and even larger spaces. And here I quickly travel all the Julian Alps, in the summer (for the normal routes first and then for railways and climbing routes) and in winter with the skis, discovering a passion that gradually becomes bigger and that brings me, in a few years, to discover the beauty of all the Alps.
In the footsteps of the great alpinists I have retraced a large part of the itineraries that have made the history of this that, in my opinion, is not just a sport activity but a lifestyle, which puts us in the conditions to live the mountain in all its aspects and to live the time as it is marked by the passing of the seasons.
The desire to transmit these emotions to other people and allow them to live in complete safety and freedom, has led me to face the strict path necessary to become Mountain Guide, a passion became a profession for the love of the mountain, its people and the his silences.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
