Description

This 14-day Mount Elbrus ski mountaineering expedition will take you to the highest peak in Europe with enough time so you'll get to its summit enjoying all the way up… and down!!

Mount Elbrus (5642 m) is a renown mountain among climbers because it is the highest in Europe. So it's part of the Seven Summits climbing tour, which gather the highest peaks of each continent**.** Elbrus has many routes available to conquer it, so there are good options both beginner and advanced climbers.

But this expedition is also about finding the best slopes to ski down. And the huge glaciers in these mountains keep the snow in perfect conditions during all Summer.

And this program is designed to acclimatize you for the big Summit day. We'll climb up and ski down lots of peaks before going to Elbrus. This way you'll have a lot of practice and you'll enjoy this place at its best.

I’ll be happy to guide you through this 14-day Mount Elbrus ski mountaineering expedition. And please specify all your needs to make the proper arrangements and embark on this amazing ski touring project!

And if you want to check other trips to high altitude mountains, please take a look at my 21-day Lenin Peak ascent in Kyrgyzstan and my 10-day Mount Kazbek (North Route) ski mountaineering expedition.

Mountain Guide

Originally I'm from Altai, a little-known Siberian mountain region. I grew up and developed as a sportsmen and guide in Altai and the Tian-Shan mountains. Since 2010, I live in St. Petersburg and work a lot in the Caucasus region.

Since 2011 I am learning in the Russian Mountain Guides Association (RMGA), under auspices of the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG). In 2015 I passed the Apprentice Ski Guide exam.

My main work destinations are Russian and CIS mountain regions as Altai, Khibiny, Tian-Shan, Kamchatka and all Caucasus. I specialize in ski tour and climbing projects in uncommon mountain regions of Russia and CIS.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
