Description

The exceptional Rara Lake Trek will lead you to unexplored regions of Nepal to see the pristine Lake Rara. Located in the Rara National park, the lake is the largest and deepest freshwater lake in Nepal and is simply spectacular. So, come join us on this 15-day adventure!

The trek will take you to the diverse Rara National Park in the Jumla district of Nepal. It was created to preserve the rich ecosystem of the Humala- Jumala region and is home to numerous species of plants, flowers, mammals and birds. You sure will be amazed to find yourself in so abundant a place!

At 2,990 m, Rara Lake is the highest alpine lake in Nepal, making it definitely worth a visit. We’ll begin the journey in the capital city of Kathmandu and after a day of sightseeing, fly to Nepaljung to start the trek.

The trail will take you through dense forests, to get to the stunning Jumla region and the Sinja Valley. Jumla village has still preserved its old-world charm and is unaffected by the modern way of living. You will definitely have an exceptional time exploring the rich culture and traditions of the people of the area.

All along, you’ll be accompanied by wonderful views of the snow-capped peaks. Hiking on off the beaten paths, you’ll cross many glacial lakes and green pastures to get to Ghorosingha and finally reach the enticing Rara lake. And what a spectacle it would be!

After exploring the Rara Lake for a day, you’ll begin to descend, crossing Pina and Bumla on the way to finally get to Nepalgunj to end the incredible trip.

This is a medium grade trek and is suitable for everyone, from beginners to veteran hikers. You’ll explore an exceptional region of Nepal and take back unforgettable memories with you.
