Description

I designed this 2-day climbing course in Tête Blanche to make you discover mountaineering. Although you don't need previous experience, you do need to be in good physical condition.

Located in the Pennine Alps, at the border between Switzerland  and Italy, this mountain is perfect for a first adventure. Conveniently, we meet in Chamonix.

It will be a great weekend to learn the basic mountaineering techniques while ascending a beautiful summit: Tête Blanche (3429 m). From here, the views are incredible!

If you are alone don't hesitate to contact me since I can put together groups.

Does this weekend course sound tempting? Then please contact me and let's make a plan! And if you want a longer course, I also give a 5-day course for beginners in Chamonix.

Itinerary

Day 1: Snow and ice school at the Tour glacier

We meet at Chamonix at 9AM, then transfer to the Tour cablecar (located at the bottom of the Chamonix valley). Cablecar ascent to the Balme pass (2180 m). Then we continue ascending by foot to the Albert 1 refuge (2700 m). We leave our belongings and in the afternoon we do some training at the Tour glacier.
Duration: 5hs
D +520m

Day 2: Ascent of Tête Blanche or Petit Fourche

Today we ascend the Tête Blanche (3429 m). The views over the Aiguille du Tour and Aiguilles Dorées are exceptional. We return by the same route and descend to the Chamonix valley by foot and cablecar.
