If you are looking for a calm ascent to an amazing mountain and have little experience in mountaineering, this trip is perfect for you. Come and discover the Vallunaraju with me.

The Cordillera Blanca is a mountain range in the Peruvian Andes that contains the highest peaks of the country. Among them, you can find the Vallunaraju, one of the most popular mountains and the easiest to ascend. Also, it is the ideal place for courses, ice climbing, and skiing. With 5,586 meters, it is located in the Huaraz province inside the Ancash region.

This 2-day ascent will start in the city of Huaraz and then we’ll drive to the Base Camp (4,000 meters) during 1 hour and a half. Once there, we’ll hike up to the Moraine Camp (4,900 meters) for about 4 to 5 hours. During the second day of the trip, you will get to the top of the Vallunaraju after a 6 to 8 hours trek across the mountain. Then we’ll return to the Base Camp and drive to Huaraz. This ascent has an elevation gain of 700 meters from the Moraine Camp.

Remember that this ascent is not difficult and doesn’t require much previous experience. Nevertheless, to count with a good level of fitness is an important aspect to consider.

So have you decided yet? Do not hesitate and send your request for this ascent. I will be happy to guide you through this fantastic mountain and astonishing landscapes of the Peruvian Andes.
