Description

Come with me to hike the picturesque Numbur Cheese Circuit in Nepal. During 20 days, we’ll discover a corner of the world rich in biodiversity and culture. In addition, we’ll enjoy stunning views of the Himalayas, glaciers, waterfalls and lakes.

We’ll meet at the Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport and explore the Nepalese capital and its sightseeing spots for a day. Then, we’ll drive to Shivalaya, at the foot of the Everest region, where we’ll begin our hiking adventure.

During our trip, we’ll get to experience a variety of flora and fauna. The area is home to the Red Panda, the Musk deer, the Himalayan thar, the Snow Leopard and several species of pheasants like Danfe. If we’re lucky, we’ll get to meet them. Our path will also be covered in conifer and rhododendron forests, forests of Sunpati, glaciers and lakes. Some of them include: Kimti Koala RiverLuikharka, Linkhu Nup Glacier, Bigphera Go Nup Glacier, Panga Dinga Glacier, and the unforgettable Lhasa lake. We’ll also visit cheese factories, Sherpa villages and monasteries.

This trip is also wonderful to enjoy views of the Rowaling Himal Range, majestic sunset views, the Parchemo peak, Bigphera Go Nup (Pathibarra) and Numburchuli.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

We’ll meet at the Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing

Sightseeing spots include the World Heritage Site of Kathmandu Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the “Monkey Temple” (Swayambhu Nath), and the Buddhists shrine (Bouddha Nath).

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Shivalaya

Day 4: Shivalaya to Khahare trek

Day 5: Khahare to Panipakha trek

Day 6: Panipakha to Maanedanda trek

Day 7: Maanedanda - Jatapokhari & Panchpokhari

Jatapokhari is an impressive holy mountain lake and a popular pilgrimage destination. Panchpokhari is the collection of five small lakes.

Day 8 to 9: Panchpokhari-Tare & around Khola Seer

Day 10 to 11: Tare - Rhakidanda - Ngeju

This is the hardest part of the trail, but also the most rewarding one with unforgettable views.

Day 12: Ngeju - Lahchhewar

Day 13: Lahchhewar - Kyama

Day 14: Kyama - Gumdel

Day 15: Gumdel - Serding or Bhandar

Day 16: Serding/Bhandar - Thodung-Lapchane

Day 17: Lapchane - Those

Day 18: Drive to Kathmandu

Day 19: Kathmandu

Day 20: Departure from Kathmandu

Transfer to the International Airport.
