Reach the heights of the Himalayas with Jyamchang, IFMGA-certified, guiding you along the Himlung Himal, one of the newest and freshest climbing peaks that stretches to 7,126 meters.
Mar, Apr, May, Sep, Oct, Nov
Join the high Himalayan Himlung Himal expedition that takes us through remote villages to the border between Nepal and Tibet. Climb to a peak of 7,126 meters and witness the beauty and remoteness of nature.
Few outsiders have ever reached this remote area of Nepal, where ancient culture and customs prevail.
Sandwiched between the Manaslu and Annapurna mountain ranges, this region is ideal for stunning panoramas.
We will pass through the two Tibetan villages of Nar and Phu, an exotic region that offers magestic mountain views of the snow-capped scenery.
Beginning in Kathmandu, the next two days involve official formalities and expedition preparations. After a couple of days of driving into the mountainside, we arrive in Koto before hiking to Metha. From here we will head to Chaju and then to the village of Pho.
After reaching the Himlung base camp, established at 4,900 meters, we will have 8 days of climbing around the region, before returning on the route that we came from.
There are usually three high camps that are established to reach the summit, with camp 1 at a height of 5,450 meters, camp 2 at 6,000 meters, and camp 3 at 6,350 meters.
Due to the level of difficulty involved, and length of days hiking and climbing, participants are expected to have a goof level of fitness, as well as having previous experience.
Reserve your place now to experience the majestic Nepalese mountains and climb to a peak of 7,126 meters. And infuse yourself with the charms of remote Tibetan villages in this 22-day expedition.

Beautiful trip and climb to Merapeak. Excellent guide!
I had Jyamchang as a guide for two expeditions, Himlung Himal in 2020 and Everest in 2021. Both were successful and it was great going on the mountain with him. I really appreciated his dedication and continuous care for the clients, together with his pride in maintaining a good level of service and the eagerness to succeed that got us to the summits.
Mr. Jyamchang Bhote was amazing. Very skilled and very patient. Had all the equipment we needed. Great spot for training. Definitely worth the money.
Jyamchang is an excellent guide with western leadership experience but local Sherpa values. He always prioritizes safety and I trust his decision making during critical moments. He’s become a friend over the course of our many climbs together and I highly recommend him and his local company High Himalayan!
I would like to add that the outfit high Himalayan was very professional in handling logistics and also integrating its porters and guide into the trip and making it a group experience. There team went out off there way to make sure everyone made it to there destination in the evening and was save. Great job and will be looking forward to do another trip with them.
Really nice company very good logistic and well organized with a really professional and friendly UIAGM mountain guide. Super thankful to high Himalayan climbing expedition pvt.ltda. for the first successfully alpine climb expedition to Ama Dablam in this autumn 2018, cheers mate!
After a year and a half of planning, a new attempt was made on Ama Dablam. This time a third person joined the climbing party. Acclimatisation on Lobuche gave us a foretaste of what the numerous pitches on Ama Dablam's steep terminal slopes would feel like. Good weather conditions and a swift Alpine style climb to C1, C2 and finally the summit concluded this project. Thank you so much Jyamchang for guiding us up there! The timing of the climb (before Autumn's commercial expeditions), choice of porters and additional logistics were once again very professional.
This company made my trip to Nepal and Himalaya to a great and memorable journey! The guide is professional, friendly and everything was well organized. I went to Himalayan Alpine Mountaineering course who is a great way to experience both trekking and climbing in Himalaya.

I give High Himalayan and Jyamchang my highest recommendation. Jyamchang is everything you want out of a guide -- knowledgable, thoughtful, driven, and careful. He has a genuine love for climbing and works hard to keep costs low for his expeditions and his clients. You cannot go wrong with Jyamchang and his team.
These guides are professional and really friendly. They do their best to make you trip special and memorable. I would trust them to take care of me if something happened. At our hike in the Everest region they managed to solve every small and larger problems that showed up. If I ever go back these are the people I would have with me again.

Professional, competent and friendly guide who always takes great care of the clients. We were a group trekking and climbing during 21 days in the Everest region with the company. We were a group of friends who all knew the guide on beforehand, and knew how good he is at his work. We were very pleased with the experience we had. I can recommend the company for everyone who wants a great experience in the Himalayas.

As some famous mountaineer once said about his Sherpa climbing partner, Jyamchang belongs to a new generation of Nepali guides who really love to climb. For them, mountaineering isn’t just about business. And that’s the reason why we got along very well whilst attempting the ascent of Ama Dablam in April 2017. We were lucky enough to be able to meet beforehand in Chamonix for a thorough check-up of the equipment and a briefing on the various logistics. I found him to be that kind of straight-to-the-point, smiling and organized person I was hoping to have as a guide and partner for an ambitious climb above 6000 meters, which I had only performed once before (on Island Peak). We met at the airport in Kathmandu and joined a good friend of mine and his trekking guide, who accompanied us during the acclimatization trip across the 3 passes and on to EBC. This gave us plenty of time to get our bodies accustomed to altitude. Jyamchang and I performed a daily health check-up to monitor the effects of altitude, a routine which I found to be very professional. We had agreed during our first Skype discussions that we were going to climb alpine style. That is minimum logistics, no fixed ropes etc. The idea of climbing a difficult mountain such as Ama Dablam without these facilitating artefacts strongly appealed to me, and I appreciated that Jyamchang pushed for this approach of the climb. This was not just pulling the client to the top of the mountain and then collecting the summit bonus. Unfortunately, due to poor weather conditions the day before summit day, we were unable to reach the summit. However, I found that Jyamchang’s attitude during the difficult descent with rapidly degrading weather conditions, and another party that we had to help descend, was again showing a professional and competent approach to the mountain environment. All in all, we had a great time in the beautiful surroundings of the Khumbu valley and may be climbing together again in a future expedition. I can strongly recommend Jyamchang for trekking and climbing elsewhere in the world (Jyamchang also guides in Norway). Martin, 32 - Belgium
It has now been two weeks since our departure from Kathmandu and we have had time to reminisce about the impressions Himalaya left us with. Everything from the fascinating streets of Kathmandu and the nerve wrecking flight to Lukla to the majestic views every step along the trek to Everest Base Camp and the Kalla Pathar height, are experiences we never will forget. Mid-February gave us the perfect combination of clear skies, not too cold weather and the least amount of tourists. We would recommend this period to all who have the same preferences. However, we are both confident that the experience would not have been the same without our guide Jyamchang from Highhimalayan. Jyamchang proved to have enough experience to always make the correct choices, both in respect of routes as well as accommodation. In addition, he gladly shared his thorough knowledge about the Himalayas and Nepalese history, which made the trek most educative. Safety was always in focus. For instance, throughout the journey we had the pleasure of daily summaries and check-ups on how we coped with the altitude, which even left us with enough knowledge to plan our next high altitude trek on our own. We also noted that we were the only trekkers with this kind of luxury and that the other guides seemed to use Jyamchang as the go-to guide for any and all types of questions. With his extremely positive attitude and big smile, it was like a dream being met each morning with a warm cup of “wake-up” tea! Thi!? In short, we are left with a truly magnificent experience and would like to thank Jyamchang for his contribution in making it so. We give Jyamchang our very best recommendations.
Jyamchang is very experienced. He travels safe and is a wonderful person to be around.
