3-day Alpine Rock Climbing in Katahdin

Mount Katahdin, Maine, is the perfect place to train for future alpine climbing trips to the Tetons or the Sierra. Or simply to enjoy rock climbing in New England. Join me on this incredible 3-day adventure.

Located in the Baxter State Park, it is Maine's highest peak. It is popular among climbers on all seasons. During the winter, its granite walls get covered in solid and cold ice, perfect for ice climbing. During the summer, the ice melts and cracks the granite, giving way to the only alpine climbing spot in the North East.

On this trip, we'll explore different popular and amazing routes on the North and South Basin to reach this fantastic vantage point. Some of the routes we'll follow include Hanta Yo, The Nose, Armadillo, Flatiron, The Chimney and others. We'll arrange the itinerary depending on your interests.

During these three days, we'll hike and camp so as to be closer to the climbing routes.
