Description

Kai-Komagatake is the highest mountain Komagatake among other Komagatake in Japan.

Koma” means horse. It is named by the mountain shape like horse and in Japan there are 20 mountains that are named Komagatake. We are going to climb up Kai-Komagatake (2,967m) and this area is always fine weather in the winter season comparing to the other mountain area. So, Kai-Komagatake is pretty popular to the mountaineers.

The difference in elevation will be more than 2,000m. And also, the route has a lot of variation with Touri-tengu, which is very steep slopes, snow wall and rocky wall.
