Description

With 3,220 meters above sea level, Mount Civetta is located in the Dolomites mountain range in Italy. This is the wildest mountain of the region and it is famous because of its great north face. The Civetta mountain group belongs to the Eastern Alps and offers a great variety of trails for different types of mountaineers.

If you follow me on this trip, we’ll reach one of the highest huts in the Dolomites while we contemplate the most beautiful views of the range.

This is a 3-day via ferrata tour. On day 1, we’ll go from Passo Duran (1,605 m) to the Vazzoler refuge (1,714 m). This will be the most difficult via ferrata itinerary of our trip. The following day, we’ll enjoy an easier route to the Torrani Hut (2,984 m). Finally on day 3 we’ll take an easy but long walk and return to Passo Duran.

If you want to join this trip, take into account that the trail is difficult and challenging. For this reason it’s mandatory to have prior mountaineering experience and a very good physical condition.

Are you looking for a fantastic adventure in the Dolomites? Mount Civetta is what you need. Do not hesitate and contact me. I will be happy to safely guide you across this incredible area.

Mountain Guide

I started my career as an aerospace engineer, my first passion and then became a full-time IFMGA mountain guide, my second passion, since 2013. Working as a mountain guide gratifies me a lot. I enjoy very much transmitting my knowledge about the mountains and its activities to my friends and clients.

I’m based in the Dolomites where I have climbed most of the mountain surroundings us here, including “Via attraverso il Pesce” in Marmolada and “Captain sky-hook” in Civetta. I also enjoy a lot guiding in the rest of the Alps, ice climbing, ski touring, freeride skiing, rock climbing and mountaineering.

Feel free to contact me if you want to live a great adventure in the Dolomites or anywhere else in the Alps, during the winter or the summer. It will be a great pleasure for me to guide you and allow you to reach your goal. I work with other mountain guides in the Veneto area, such as Filippo, Massimo, and my brother Daniele. If I am unavailable on the date you are interested in coming climbing, skiing, or engaging in other activities with me, I can connect you with one of them.

3 stars Marmolada is due to weatherconditions. Lack of new snow. Enrico found good snow in parts of the glacier. 5 stars to him. Before we went up to the glacier, Enrico took us for a testride offpiste to see if we would be able to ski difficult conditions. Very good.

To be honest we are very disappointed. We signed up for the day of free ride on Marmolada but Enrico wisely said the snow conditions were not conducive for doing that. He offered to do other activities (specifically ski touring) but that is not what we paid for or signed up for, and did not want to do that. Since he offered “alternative activities” it appears we lose 100% of the cost per Explore-Share policy. This is extremely unfair. Enrico seemed like a good guy and probably a very good guide, but I would NOT recommend Explore Share to anyone! Terrible experience for an expensive day.

Geremia was great to have for my first time ice climbing. He went over all the basics and gave me tips on my climbing that really helped out. All of this in a beautiful location! Highly recommended!
