Description

If you have experience in backcountry skiing and want to visit Patagonia, a trip to Frey Hut is a must!

Located at the base of the Cerro Catedral, Frey Hut is a very popular destination for skiers who want to explore the untracked terrains of Patagonia.

If you come with me on this trip, on the first day, we’ll meet in Bariloche and go to Frey Hut, our base for the next 4 days. We’ll take the Cerro Catedral lifts and, once there, we’ll get comfortable and explore the surroundings. On the second and third day, we’ll enjoy the descents and make the best out of this experience. There are many route options to choose. According to your level and wishes, we’ll find the most suitable option for you.

Take into account that prior skiing experience is required for this trip. You should also have a very good fitness level.

Does this 4-day adventure in Frey Hut sound tempting? Do not hesitate and send your request now. I will be happy to be your guide.

Otherwise, I can also offer you a longer program where we will spend 10 days ski touring through Patagonian volcanoes!

Mountain Guide

I´m based in Bariloche, Patagonia, where I guide full time, mostly technical custom trips with small groups.

I started guiding in 1998, and my job took me all around the globe. In Montana, USA, where I lived for many years I worked extensively in the Rockies, guiding in the Tetons, Wind Rivers, and the Beartooths. Back to Argentina, I spend most of my time ski guiding volcanoes, rock climbing at Frey and mountaineering in Chalten and Tronador.

The rest of time I work as a Technical director at the AAGM, forming new guides, and trying to be an exciting dad for my two kids, taking advantage of the great backyard we have at home!
