Description

Are you looking for an advanced splitboarding program in the beautiful Julian Alps? Then this splitboarding course in Slovenia is perfect for you!

This 6-day course is aimed at advanced splitboarders who want to improve their skills. Some of its contents include knots techniques, rappelling, avalanche management, and the use of crampons and ice axe.

One of the advantages of splitboarding in this region is that it offers fantastic snow conditions and different types of terrain. The Triglav National Park is a wonderful place to enjoy snow activities. Besides, you can contemplate the astonishing landscapes of the beautiful Julian Alps.

On day 1 of our itinerary, we will transfer you from the Airport to Bled. On day 2, we will enjoy splitboarding in the Vogel Ski Resort and learn about avalanche safety.  I will offer and Avalanche Rescue Training (ART) workshop, and multi-burial polygon (simulator) practice. Additionally, you will have the chance to do a splitboarding tour to enjoy the steep runs.

From days 3 to 6, we will put into practice what we have learned by splitboarding through different terrains. This will give you the chance to face different challenges and acquire more experience. Finally, on the last day, we will transfer you to the airport and say goodbye.

Regarding accommodation, we will stay in a family lodge in Bled. Accommodation includes breakfast and dinner. Furthermore, it is ideally located as it gives us access to two amazing ski resorts in the Central Julian Alps and Karavanke Range.

Take into account that the itinerary of the trip will depend on the weather conditions and the overall level of participants. Each day we will pick the best option for us. If we happen to have bad weather, we will use those days for theoretical classes. Consequently, we will be making the best out of every minute of our trip!

Are you ready to chase some of the best snow options in the Julian Alps with me? Then send your request now and make your reservation for this advanced splitboarding course in Slovenia. I can assure you it will be a fantastic experience!

If you are not an advanced splitboarder, I also offer an introductory course in Slovenia. Check it out!

About the guide

guide profile img

I grew up in Slovenia with Julian Alps as my backyard. Expeditions to Himalaya started when I was 17, started steep skiing at 15, climbing big walls at 13 and it was a natural progression to BASE jump and to become a mountain guide- a job that feeds my soul. I have been to several climbing expeditions to Peru, Kyrgyzstan, Tibet, Nepal and India.

I'm an IFMGA qualified mountain guide as well as an instructor for future guides, ski instructor, certified helicopter operator and a Heli Ski guide. Although my work took me all over the world my favorite place is still in the Julian Alps. Sharing the hidden places in my Home Mountains with my clients, guiding and teaching them to explore on their own is has been my biggest passion for the past few years.

Mountains are my passion. Winter or summer, climbing, flying through the air or skiing, it doesn't matter to me if I am guiding or having fun with friends. I simply get spaced out when I am in the mountains. Guiding for me is not a job - it is a state of mind and a lifestyle.
