This ski touring traverse in the surroundings of Mount Triglav is the only real hut to hut ski tour in Slovenia, as many mountain huts are closed during winter.

This trip has the advantage of being off the beaten tracks. In fact, we should not see anybody during the 4 days.

The itinerary goes across the Julian Alps, from Bohinj to Mojstrana. We are at the bottom of the highest mountain of the country: Mount Triglav.

The itinerary goes through the Triglav National Park almost entirely.

You should have some ski touring experience before. But you don’t need to be a really good skier to join this tour. We might use crampons and ice axe when going up slopes of 40°. You should be able to go down 30° slopes.

I know the region and the National Park very well. It’s a good opportunity for you to leave with a local certified (IFMGA) mountain guide. I will make sure you come back home safely but I will also share with you many stories and information about the area, the local culture, the landscapes and mountains surrounding us during the 4 days.

I invite you to read this nice story about 2 french skiers who joined me for a several days ski tour in winter 2016 in the National Park of Mont Triglav.

Please get in touch with me for any additional information and if you want to book this tour with me (check out the next departure date!). You can also ask me if you want to do a different trip in this region.
