I invite you to discover Kanin-Sella Nevea, a freeride paradise at the Slovenian-Italian border. Join me for 1 or more days for a unique freeride skiing experience on this joint Slovenian-Italian ski resort.

Kanin-Sella Nevea is located in one of the snowiest regions in Europe. Actually, the area has often broken snow records! Large amounts of natural snow and excellent snow conditions offer skiers and snowboarders an amazing experience, allowing the season to expand until the end of April or begining of May.

The resort is located a few kilometers away from the city of Bovec in Slovenia, about an hour away from Ljubljana, the capital of the country. Surrounded by high peaks of the Julian Alps, Bovec is a charming little village.

The terrain here is truly unique! In winter, the rock moon-like dunes becom a huge snow park. The exceptional powder allows descents in every direction, on demanding terrain for expert freerider or in a couple of milder slopes for beginners.  Kanin-Sella Nevea is an authentic freeride skiing paradise for riders of all levels.

The typical cold and dry Eastern Alps climate combined with humid Mediterranean winds generate a unique micro-climate, that results on outstanding quality and quantity of consistent powder snow.

Don’t hesitate to send me a request if you want to join me on this ski tour in Kanin-Sella Nevea. Book your trip and come discover a freeride skiing paradise in Slovenia! If you are looking for other great ski tours in Slovenia, you could check out my profile page.

About the Guide

I am a UIAGM mountain guide, ski instructor and sports teacher and the current president of the Slovenian Mountain Guide Association.

I am still the only guide who can make a living working exclusively in Slovenia. I climb Triglav more than 25 times per year, which means I have climbed the most famous peak in my country over 200 times.

If you want to climb or ski in Slovenian mountains I am the right choice. I guide via ferrata, rock climbing, snow climbing, ice climbing, hikes, heliski, freeride skiing and ski touring.

Slovenia has good options for all of these activities, so you are welcome to take a look at my trips and find something for yourself. If you don't find anything let me know and I will see if I can help you!

I speak English. Ich sprache auch ein bischen Deutsch. Parla anche un pocho Italiano e abla tambien un po Espanol.

If I am not available to guide you, one of the super experienced guides in my team - Rok, Peter, Grega or Igor - will be your guide.

What People are Saying about -Mitja Šorn Guiding Team

Good information on the Explore-share website and help finding an available guide. Got in direct touch with guide very fast and were able to get all answers as to verify that this was the right trip for me. Had to change dates by one day due to weather changes, but this is to be expected in mountain regions. Ended up climbing in beautiful weather with very professional, calm and safe guide Igor Kremser. Overall a good experience from finding the trip, all communications and of course the trip itself. Thanks!
