Thanks to its easy access and spectacular views from the top, Cerro Vallecitos has become an increasingly popular spot in the Andes. Come with me on this 6-day ascent and discover one of the main peaks of the Cordon del Plata range!
Located approximately 80 km from the city of Mendoza, Cerro Vallecitos is one of the most spectacular mountains to tour in this province. This ascent is an ideal opportunity for those climbers who are looking to go up higher mountains in the area.
During this adventure, we’ll visit unique places, admire remote landscapes and from its summit, climbers will be rewarded with spectacular views of Mount Aconcagua (6,962 m) (the highest mountain outside Asia) Cerro Plomo (5,424 m), Cerro Juncal (6,110 m) and many other spectacular peaks of the mythical Cordillera de los Andes.
Our meeting point will be in Mendoza City and from there we’ll transfer to the Vallecitos area where we’ll spend our first night in a cozy and comfortable refuge (2,800 m). During the days to come, we’ll explore some nearby summits located at 3,100 and 3,300 meters and we’ll continue ascending from camp to camp with the help of mules that will carry our equipment. This will allow us the proper acclimatization needed in order to get to the summit in the best possible conditions.
Whether you want to prepare for your Aconcagua ascent or are just looking to discover one of the most beautiful peaks in Mendoza, this 6-day guided tour will be an amazing mountaineering experience. So, what are you waiting for? Send your request!
