Bariloche is a beautiful city located in the Rio Negro province, in North Patagonia. It is famous for its breathtaking scenery, blue lakes and stunning mountains, making it a very popular tourist destination. Bariloche is the starting point for many great climbs in the area, like Mount Tronador (3491 m), an iconic peak of the Andes. If you are looking for a low altitude climb, you can enjoy a trek to the top of the Bella Vista peak (1800 m), with spectacular views of the Nahuel Huapi Lake. The Cerro Lopez (2075 m) is another great climbs in the area and one of the best viewpoints of the Nahuel Huapi National Park. Take your pick from our selection of trips below! Craig is a great guide and even better person. I would recommend him 100 times over for any backcountry adventure in Patagonia.

Have recently hiked up Mt Tronador with Lucas as a guide. The rest of the team and I were very happy to have him guide us. He is very professional and experienced, yet also very attentive and friendly. Would definitely consider hiring him again for our next adventure!

Our group had the pleasure of trekking with Craig over a 4 day hike to Mt. Tronador. First of all, Craig is an absolute professional whose focus is on safety first and then on adventure. His Scottish accent and quick wit were a perfect fit for our group of 5 Dads and 5 teen sons. I would highly recommend Craig for any adventure in Patagonia!

Where do I begin? I had inquired with a recommended guide (from a family friend) who referred me to his colleagues for a trip up Cerro Tronador. Jeremias personally reached out and offered his services, and with multiple issues (gear, arrival times, refugio feasibility, weather) we finalized a plan for the Tronador massif. He personally met with me the morning prior to our climb and arranged for all needed gear (in addition to that which was brought) to include a set of mountain boots which he personally rented for me. He even picked me up from my hotel and drove the 2 hours to Pampa Linda! Our climb was nothing short of spectacular. He balanced challenging me with giving me adequate acclimation during the climb. I always felt well attended on the expedition. He even offered to move quicker on the descent to give me some time alone in my thoughts as we descended. Perhaps best of all, Jeremias allowed great flexibility with payment as I was working through some electronic options - on a weekend - to get him the money for the climb and was very patient with me for this. Absolutely 100% would recommend him as a guide for anyone who wants to trek/climb in Bariloche region and will plan on requesting his services whenever I return for further expeditions. Thank you, Jeremias!!!
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
