Description

Do you want to explore one of the most beautiful parts of Peru? Let me guide you on this 8-day trek through Santa Cruz and to the summit of the Pisco Mountain.

Santa Cruz is one of the most popular trekking routes on Earth! During the trek, you will be able to see all of the important mountains, rivers and lakes in this area, in just a few days. Moreover, during this amazing trek, you will get to reach the summit of Pisco (5752 m).

We’ll begin by exploring the Callejón de Huaylas and driving through charming Andean towns. Our first stop will be Carhuaz (2650m). There, we’ll try one of the best guarded secrets of this mountains: ice cream! You’ll get to taste ecological, handcrafted ice cream, made with local fruits!

I will also take you to the dazzling Ichiccocha and Jatuncocha lakes. Then, I’ll guide you to Alpamayo, an impressive viewpoint where you’ll get the best photos! From here you’ll be able to see Alpamayo, Aguja, Paron Quitaraju and Artesonraju. Additionally, we will reach Punta Union Pass (4750m), where you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch with spectacular views.

Afterwards, we’ll head to the Quenual Trees. Due to its unique location, you’ll be able to see different animals here. If we are lucky you’ll get a great view of the magnificent condor of the Cordillera Blanca.

I’ll also guide you to Portachuelo Pass (4770m) where you’ll get an unparalleled view of Pisco, Huandoys and Chacraraju.

And on the seventh day we’ll reach the Pisco‘s summit. Upon descent, we’ll head to Cebollapampa where a transfer will take you back to Huaraz.

So do not miss out on this unique opportunity to see this wonderful place. Send me a message and explore with me the Cordillera Huayhuash.

But, if you want something shorter, I also guide this Cordillera Blanca 4-day trek.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
