This 10-day Ski and Sail expedition in Spitsbergen takes you to discover one of the most unique ski touring destinations in the world, with an amazing combination of mountain, sea and arctic landscapes. Enjoy an unforgettable journey to a land perfectly designed for skiing!
Our backcountry adventure takes place along the west coast of Spitsbergen, the largest and only permanently populated island in the wild and remote Svalbard archipelago, 1000 km from Norway and 1200 km from the North Pole. Surprisingly, it offers an easy access with daily flights into the Longyearbyen airport.
The Prins Karls Vorland island, situated in the west coast of Spitsbergen, allows straightforward access to dozens of fjords, with pleanty of peaks from 500 to 1000m rising right out of the sea, offering amazing ski touring opportunities. A sailing yacht is probably the best way to discover Norway, and only by boat is possible to access these peaks.
During these days, we will be sailing in the comfortable and stable Noorderlicht yacht. It is almost 50-meter long and provides exceptional luxury for our skiing adventure.
