Description

The mightiest mountain in the Americas, the highest mountain outside of Asia, Aconcagua (6,962m) is a true wonder.

For 20 wonderful days, I would like to guide you to the top of Aconcagua by way of the peak’s northeast side, and lead you back down. Every day of this unforgettable trek will bring you new and stupendous views of not just the peak’s surroundings, but of the Andes as well.

The trip will begin in the lovely Argentinean city of Mendoza. From there we will enter the Aconcagua national park. After that, we will progress our way to the summit.

Since this trip lasts nearly 3 weeks, there will be no need to rush during this adventure. Instead, we will be taking our time, making steady progress day after day. There will also be several rest days as well. Hence giving you a lot of time to not just admire the glorious views you get throughout Aconcagua, but to also properly acclimatize. This is very important, as it will ensure you don’t have to endure any altitude sickness.

You will get to visit many popular spots on Aconcagua during this ascent. Those spots include the following.

  • Confluencia camp (3,368m)

  • Plaze de Mulas base camp (4,300m)

  • Cerro Bonete (5,100m)

  • Canada Camp (4,910m)

  • Nido de Condores (5,380m)

  • Colera Camp (5,870m)

And every night, you will get to rest after a long day’s climbing and practising at a comfortable campsite.

Climbing a mighty mountain like Aconcagua is an experience you will never forget. The views you will get throughout the ascent, and especially at the mountain’s apex, will stay with you for the rest of your life. All you have to do to experience this incredible climb for yourself is send me a request.

Mountain Guide

I´m based in Bariloche, Patagonia, where I guide full time, mostly technical custom trips with small groups.

I started guiding in 1998, and my job took me all around the globe. In Montana, USA, where I lived for many years I worked extensively in the Rockies, guiding in the Tetons, Wind Rivers, and the Beartooths. Back to Argentina, I spend most of my time ski guiding volcanoes, rock climbing at Frey and mountaineering in Chalten and Tronador.

The rest of time I work as a Technical director at the AAGM, forming new guides, and trying to be an exciting dad for my two kids, taking advantage of the great backyard we have at home!
