Join Spanish IFMGA certified mountain guide Fernando on this amazing summit attack to the Aconcagua via the 360º route, also known as Falso Polaco Route.
Cerro Aconcagua is the highest summit in America and also in the world after the Himalayas. It is located in northwestern Mendoza (Argentina) within the Aconcagua Provincial Park. The mountain is exactly 6,962 meters high with several glaciers crossing its slopes.
As you can imagine, Aconcagua is one of the mountains most frequented by climbers from all around the world as it presents a real challenge. The ascent can be done via the “normal route” of Horcones or by the Polish Glacier route.
This time I’ll chose the second option. Find out more about the famous “360 route” to Aconcagua here below.
The Polish Glacier route or more correctly “Falso Polacos” is a trail that leads us to the mountain across the Valle de Vacas. Then, we must climb to the foot of the Polish glacier and join the normal Horcones route at the final try to the summit on the last day.
Those who want to ascend the 360º route should have an excellent technical level and an optimal physical condition. Also keep in mind that we must walk many hours per day. Of course, for each section certain days of rest will be taken.
Currently, to enter the Aconcagua Provincial Park it is necessary to acquire a permit in the Directorate of Renewable Natural Resources of the province of Mendoza. This is a government agency that regulates the fees for tourists and its cost varies from year to year. It is not included in the final price of the program.
As a lover of this mountain in Argentina, I have climbed Aconcagua 35 times and I have stayed at its peak for 66 days. I can assure you the safest ascent with the best team of guides.
Do not hesitate and join me now. Let’s conquer the Aconcagua via it 360 route. Send your request now. Next departure dates on January 2018!
