Join us for this vigorous and informational 3-day crevasse rescue course on the slopes of Mount Baker, in beautiful Washington state!

The learning begins on day one, after we have arrived in the park and set up camp. We will hike to the toe of the glacier then dive in with a brief review of using the necessary equipment and setting up a 3:1 pulley system.

We will finish the day off by learning how to use a 2:1 pulley system to assist climbers out of more difficult crevasses as well as rescuing backpacks and equipment, among other things.

The next morning, we will wake up early and hike to our second camp, near the crevasse. We will practice some of the skills we learned yesterday in the actual crevasse, then after dinner, go over some other useful techniques.

On our final day, we will practice active rescues in the crevasse and I will demonstrate how to belay down and administer different types of first aid.

After, we’ve finished on the slopes and packed up camp, we will head back to the trailhead and stop off at a local restaurant for a celebratory meal en route back to Seattle.

So what are you waiting for? Book now for the opportunity to spend 3-days on the slopes of Mount Baker learning advanced crevasse rescue techniques that will be indispensable in an emergency situation!

If you like the look of this trip, but you are worried you might not have the necessary skill level to complete it, don’t worry, our 2-day crevasse rescue course on Mount Baker will get you up to speed!
