Are you looking for an exciting and unique multi-pitch climb? I propose here an interesting 2-day program: reaching the Ailefroide Orientale summit!
This stunning peak lies in the Ecrins massif, in the region of the Hautes-Alpes. It is 3847 meters high and it offers breathtaking views from the top. It is renowned as one of the most beautiful climbing spots in the world.
This great climb combines rock, ice and snow. It offers an intermediate difficulty level and you need to be in good physical shape in order to join this ascent.
Our meeting point will be the Ailefroide Village. From there we start climbing to the Sélé refuge, where we will spend the night. The next day we begin our ascent to the Ailefroide Orientale summit. Finally, we get back to the starting point enjoying an amazing descent.

My name is Jean Benoit Hugeux. My friends call me JB. I'm an IFMGA / UIAGM mountain guide and a ski instructor. Mountain guiding is my passion ! I have always loved the mountains. I grew up in Briançon, a small town in the Hautes-Alpes, next to Serre Chevalier. Since several years, I'm exploring the mountains of the Alps and from all around the world.
