We booked a three-day, all-inclusive Mont Blanc climb for two people with a private guide. As this was one of the more expensive providers, we expected a high level of service. Unfortunately, due to dangerous rockfall conditions on Mont Blanc, the plan had to be changed at short notice. We were offered Bishorn in Switzerland instead. Our guide, Talo, was excellent throughout: professional, friendly and very helpful. We had a great trip with him, and Bishorn was a good Plan B given that the change of mountain was outside the company’s control. My four-star rating relates mainly to how the additional costs were handled. The company covered the Bishorn hut night on a half-board basis, but we were told to arrange and pay for our own rental car and an additional night’s accommodation. When I said I did not want to rent a car, Talo kindly offered to drive us in his van, but we still had to cover the fuel costs ourselves. Given the overall price of the original package, I felt the company could reasonably have covered the transfer to Bishorn and the additional accommodation required because of the change in itinerary. This would have made the experience feel much more in keeping with the premium price charged. Overall, the guiding itself was excellent, but the company’s approach to the extra costs felt unnecessarily inflexible and took away from what was otherwise a very enjoyable trip.

My guide was Juan Chalten and he was amazing! Very chill, knowledgeable and encouraging! A few times my climbing partner and I wanted to gave up but he kept encouraging us! He also was a great leader! The other guides were younger, he lead the rescue essentially when a person fell into a crevasse to help. Would definitely hire him again in the future❤️ Gracias Juan!

!NOT recommended at all! I've booked an alpine climbing guided tour, with you, and you matched me with 'kooKoo' a subcontractor of yours. They have matched me with Their guide (named - farran)who was actualy was not a guide, and had no guiding skills whatsoever(he probably was a good climber or even a certified one) During the whole trip he never actauly guided, or instructed. In fact he tried to disencourage us, from continuing the trip. He was indeed a lame person, and totaly unfit for such a dangerous task, which involves phisycal risks such as injury or even death. The trip was evantually seized during the acclimatisation. This guide decided we (me and the other climber) are not fit enough, and offered an alrernate tour. Which, i've declined, since each additional second with this guy was indeed, a waste of my time. And of course, a refund/partial refund from KooKoo, was not an option, after reporting this story to Xavi (KooKoo's manage). In total, im certainly and strongly, will NOT recommend Kookoo nor 'explore-share' to anyone who im in favour off. Cincerely, Teddy
