Basic multi-pitch climbing course in Montana

Our basic multi-pitch rock climbing courses are designed to be instructive, dynamic and fun!

Located in south central Montana, the Beartooth Mountains are home to several glaciers, lakes and breathtaking views. Also, this mountain range is home to the highest point of the State, Granite Peak (12,799 ft/ 3,901 m).

This basic multi-pitch climbing course will be a great opportunity to become acquainted with rock climbing techniques, participants will learn the essential skills to all climbing activities.

During this trip, one of our certified guides will teach you how to tie knots and hitches, how to move on rocks and the proper use and care of equipments. Also, climbers will learn about risk assessment and about the importance of the Leave No Trace ethics, where they will learn how to enjoy this beautiful natural place in a sustainable way.

Keep in mind that according to the participant’s wishes, we may organize this basic rock craft into one full day course or into a half-day course.

We will provide you with helmets, ropes, harnesses, climbing shoes and all the necessary equipment for this introductory program. This will not only be an exciting experience, but an educational one as well!
