Description

Béthaz is the longest via ferrata itinerary in the Aosta Valley. It’s located in Valgrisenche, a scenic Italian locality that offers well equipped routes for physically prepared people. During this via ferrata training day I’ll help you gain the necessary confidence to face more challenging via ferratas in the future.

We will meet in Courmayeur in the morning. A transfer car will take us to Valgrisenche, our starting point. Once we climb the Via Ferrata “Béthaz – Bovard” we’ll return to Courmayeur by the afternoon.

We’ll enjoy 1000 vertical meters of climbing route equipped with hard-steel cables and iron steps. The ascent time is about 4 hours. That’s why you should have a good fitness level.

We did a 1 day Ferrata with Marica. We've both never climbed a Ferrata before but we are both good hikers. We enjoyed our trip very much and you don't need to be a climber. Marica took good care of us and she is very informative with the local geography and history. We felt very safe with her. If you are traveling near the Dolomite and want to try something a bit out of your comfort zone, I highly recommend doing a ferrata especially with Marica. We did both ferrata ra gusela nuvolau and ferrata-averau. It took us about 6 hours.
